Andrew's Heavenly Ice

Just had a funnel cake and it was so hard I couldn’t eat it. Ended up having to throw it away. This has been the 2nd time this has happen. Thought I give it another try. No more for me. Sad cause I really wanted to like it.

I ordered the ice and brownie, my sister chose the rainbow Italian ice, and my father went for a sugar-free strawberry snow cone. Unfortunately, he found it lacked flavor. If he had enjoyed it, I would have rated the place five stars!

I used to work at this restaurant, and I loved every moment of it. The owner is a fantastic person, and the food is what I miss the most. It's definitely a place I make sure to visit every time I'm back in San Antonio! I always recommend it to everyone I meet who is planning a visit.

Great experience! Mangonafo is fantastic. They occasionally offer samples, allowing you to expand your palate. It can get a bit messy if you jump in too quickly, especially while navigating the speed bumps on Timberhill. They provide extra napkins and drink carriers, which is a nice touch!

I wasn't a fan of the ice—it was overly sweet, possibly due to too much sugar or syrup. However, the food was affordable and served quickly. The staff were friendly and appeared to work efficiently. I used to love it here. They have excellent mangonadas. They cannot efficiently manage the drive thru though. I used to get around this by calling ahead, then a couple of years ago they stopped answering phone and refuse to do call ahead. Today my back was really hurting and I tried to go through drive thru. After paying and waiting 15 mins, I went inside to find that employees had totally forgotten about me and my order. I asked for refund and with no apologies, man told me I needed to go back out to my car to get my visa, otherwise he couldn't do a refund. I just walked out. So tired of poor service unless the owner is there.

On the Sundays it says choice of strawberry, pineapple, or chocolate on top with whipped cream and nuts.. So I ordered a Sunday with strawberry ice cream and pineapple on top. And then a pineapple shake was also ordered. The Sunday had actual pineapple pieces on top and and I told her I wanted the syrup like it says in the description, she apologized but did not offer to fix it. Just said have a nice day. It also did not come with whipped cream or nuts as you can see no nuts in the pic or white cream in the photo. And then the pineapple shake was very watery almost like the ice cream it was made with was already melted. Very disappointed with this visit. But giving 3 stars instead of less bc...

I have been a reliable customer since Andrew's was across the street. Usually have pleasant experiences. On the night of August 31, went with family and order Watermelon ice flavored drink and banana split. Employee wasn't too friendly but service did not take long so got my order and left. Bill was $8 or so and just asked for $10 back from $20. When I got home my banana split was vanilla ice cream some whip and sprays of chocolate fudge on top. Not at all what was on picture menu. I called today to politely ask for management and discuss my encounter.
