"I went to BarZotto based on a colleage recommedation. They said it was a more affordable spot on par with Penny Roma/Flour&Water which I love. BarZotto is difficult to review because my experience with the food (pretty decent) and service (really really amazing) was trumped by the fact that someone told me, after spending over $100 as a party of one, continuing to order, and contemplating buying a bottle of wine, that I had to leave a bar seat because of a time limit. That was not only embarassing but as a new local, exploring places to find my spots, completely off-putting. I won't be returning and will continue to spend more at places that don't value profit over community so overtly. It's a shame because my server was an absolutely amazing human. Thank you to him."

Good restaurant but seems like their pre covid menu was much better. They no longer have the snail pasta that everyone raved about. Super bummed about that.

I had the pappardelle pasta with slow-braised beef and I will certainly be dreaming about it for quite some time. I also ordered a salad, which was generous enough to be a meal on its own. I ended up taking most of it home for dinner. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. View menu

Small place with cute decorations and laid back feeling. Amazing short menu which had good options for small plates. Tried Mozzarella toast which was amazing and is worth a try. Strozzapretti was good but a little too creamy for me. Bucatini was very tasty. Both the pastas and mozzarella cheese tasted very fresh. This place is worth another visit.

Visited Barzotto yesterday for lunch. Was very happy my buddy and i stopped in. Had an excellent beet salad, a fabulous Little Gems salad, pappardelle with a braised beef and a memorable version of cacio e pepe. Very efficient and friendly service, from the front of the house RJ to the very gracious owner, Marco (mr barzotti). Am returning next week.

Delicious gluten free pasta, with the spaghetti sauce meatballs. Everything was cooked, seasoned heated to perfection. Beautiful ambiance/decor, attentive service, and an overall great experience. Would recommend. Only giving 4 stars because the portions were a little small. We went later (8:30pm) on a weekday night, so there wasn’t a wait for 2 people. View menu

A really great spot with an excellent vibe.Probably the best restaurant service I've ever had.The market salad was flavorful and extremely fresh, the pasta was a classic but tasted unique at the same time. The dessert was a surprise hit, and probably the top three desserts I've ever had.I've been wanting to go since seeing it on BuzzFeed's worth it, I finally got the opportunity to go to San Francisco and check out this restaurant, definitely an excellent experience.

Barzotto encompasses exceptional food, excellent service and an atmosphere which is comfortable and elegant. The meat balls and porchetta are my absolute favorite and in my opinion are a must try on your first or even 20th visit. Hats off to owner, Marko. He has created my new go to pasta joint when in SF. I was also lucky enough have Bryan, the GM serve me. He was nothing short of personable and professional. He also paired me with some great wine to accompany my meal. Hats off to this amazing establishment!

"Earlier this year Salty 's was featured in one of the top 100 places to eat in the Bay Area in 2022, and after trying it a couple times, it 's easy to see why. Quality and flavor, great customer service, it checks all those boxes. I occasionally visit the 24 hour fitness on Van Ness, and Salty 's happens to be just few short blocks away which makes it perfect when I 'm looking for a post-workout sandwich. And for those that know me, I love me my sandwiches. On my latest visit, I decided to go with the 'Glorious B sandwich, which come with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack, veggies, and garlic mayo. The blend of flavors and high quality of the turkey is no wonder it 's at the very top of the menu list. It 's one of those sandwiches, that you can bring to park and not need a ton of napkins to get through. It was well put together, with the ratio of all the ingredients matching well. Nothing overpowering, just sandwich perfection. The size of the sandwich I thought was the perfect size for my appetite. As I 've gotten older I can 't put down as much food as I used to, and after one-half I knew I could 've stopped eating, be content, saved the rest for later. But of course I ate the whole thing and nothing sounds better than taking a quick power nap right after. I love that their menu has so many different sandwich combinations, so definitely take time to check their menu before calling-in/walking-in to order because it 'll definitely save you some time. On my latest visit, I was in and out in 10 minutes. Definitely towards the top of my list of sandwiches in this part of town!"
