All the pies, except for the pecan pie, were vegan and delicious.

I ordered the blueberry pie and a latte with oat milk. It's great to see some vegan choices available in a small town.

Large small café in the beautiful Saratoga. Good food and drinks, cozy atmosphere. A visit to Saratoga and the Big Basin!

they have at least 5 different vegan sweet cakes: pfirsich, apricots, apple and cranberries, pumpkin and blueberry. I'm a bit of one and it was delicious. updated by previous review on 2021-11-24 View menu

We enjoyed sitting in the beautiful outdoor seating area with our furry travel companion. Along with a delicious coffee made with non-dairy milk, we also tried some tasty vegan turnovers. We are looking forward to returning for the pie!

We have a favorite café in each three states and this is our Californian café! Elsa and her staff are friendly and make the best lattes as well as a wide selection of international food choices. Try the Alfajores if you want a bite of heaven!

"They recently changed their hours, so now they only stay open until 8 PM. This is quite strange, especially since it's summer, the movie theater in El Paseo is much busier following the closure of the AMC theater in Vallco, and it’s not even dark yet at that time. I really think they’re missing out on a lot of potential business. Additionally, they've added a code to the bathroom door, which makes me wonder if they were having issues with non-customers using it previously. It’s hard to say. What I do know is that during my brief visit, everyone who was given the code had difficulty opening the door because it included a special character at the end of a long string of numbers that nobody could remember. On a brighter note, they serve delicious coffee and pastries, and the staff is both knowledgeable and friendly. The strawberry pop tart had a lovely pastry crust that seemed to have been brushed with egg white to give it a nice sheen. The filling tasted *exactly* like Smucker's strawberry jelly… In fact, I suspect it might have actually been Smucker's! Whether that’s a good or bad thing is up to personal taste. However, I found it odd that while they offer several unusual ingredients for unique drinks, like turmeric and ginger for golden drinks, their selection of more standard flavored syrups is extremely limited. There’s no raspberry, no strawberry, and no other berry flavors—just chocolate, honey, coconut, and of course, turmeric. Their golden drinks have more of a winter flavor profile anyway, which is probably why they’re not currently on the menu. They have no specials at the moment (though they mentioned they can still make the turmeric drinks), zero fruit flavors, and a very limited selection of syrups. Come on, guys! Don’t rest on your laurels. What are you doing to stay competitive? Be sure to grab your turmeric latte before 8 PM!"

"Just enjoyed a very lovely anniversary dinner here, and while it was a lovely experience, it felt like it missed the mark on the few of their servings. First and foremost, the service was great and the staff very attentive, especially our gentleman busser who kept a very keen eye on our needs. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and felt very light even in the evening. We started with the Prawn Cigars which were delicious and the highlight of the night. The wasabi sauce was simply delightful.Next we had the beef marrow, which I was so looking forward to. Unfortunately, the garlic bread ciabatta it was served with was extremely heavy on the butter resulting in a fat on fat experience, which didn't leave us feeling too great. Non-buttered bread and a dash of citrus would have made it great. For the mains we had the scallops and the fillet steak. I found the scallops to be fine but my husband found the polenta to be too heavy. The steak was cooked to PERFECTION and while the dish has a lot of components, it all went together beautifully, though I will say the truffle aspect of the mashed potatoes was lost amongst all the other flavors. The goat cheese on the steak as well was inspired. For dessert, my husband had the sorbet, which was tasty but hard set in molds and then hard to cut through when eating. I had the deconstructed apple pie, which was tasty in most bites but was kind of ruined by the homage to baklava it was attempting. Specifically, the addition of honey in the sugar work and caramel, which came out slightly burnt tasting. Would have been better if they had (1) heated up the heavy whipping cream, mixed in the honey, and then chilled and whipped, or (2) done a honey glazed walnut and blitzed it down."
