This is our go to spot for special occasions. Awesome food. Consistent quality and great presentation. Owners and staff are very welcoming and helpful. The reason I go out to eat is service, period. This place has the best service I 've ever had. The seafood salad thing was good. The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The vegetable medley was a couple bits of undercooked Broccoli and carrots, too tough to cut with a fork. The mashed potato portion was too small, but tasty. The chocolate pudding and vanilla ice cream dessert was also on the small side, and the ice cream was melted. The prices were too high to give this place another shot; more than $40 for a steak dinner? They can afford more and better cooked sides. Absolutely everything about this place is terrific. Staff are a great team, food is perfection. Dear Canadians, do yourself a favor and stop here for a meal on the way to or from Seattle. You won't regret it. It's a rare gem with service and personality you won't have seen since the 80's. Just go! The flat iron steak was (sorry) better than Alberta beef and cooked to perfection. EDITED They promptly returned my call and offered me a gift certificate, I’m excited to give them another shot! The customer service is impeccable and they went above and beyond. I will update the food review once I try again I love the Bistro. I decided to get fancy take out for myself, why not? They would have been amazing except how they packaged it Take out implies you’re not going to immediately eat it. They dressed the greens, dressing really should be on the side. Breaded prawns DEFINITELY should have sauce on the side, unless of course you want a soggy, mushy mess. The taste was good and the gentleman that helped me was GREAT. Exquisite! This is our new favorite restaurant in the area. The clams off the fresh sheet were prepared in a very unique and tasty way in a creamy red sauce with leeks. They were divine. The escargot were also great. Even their house baked bread and compound oil left us stunned. The New York strip with compound butter and Demi glace were to die for and the Maine lobster tail was tender and delicate. The service was also so friendly and quick!
