"I noticed that diners nearby were ordering burgers, which came with a generous side of fries, so portion sizes for other dishes seem quite large! The atmosphere is rustic and inviting, featuring exposed wooden beams, a charming fireplace, and various decorations on the walls. It was warm and comfortable inside during the winter months, so no one around me felt the need to wear their coats, a nice change from typical chain restaurants. Service was friendly and timely, and I really enjoyed my meal. The only downside was that the soda refills are limited to just two, which feels a bit stingy for a price of $3.25. I docked a star for that minor issue, but overall, if you're looking for fantastic pizza from a small local establishment, I highly recommend Bugsy's!"

Good deep dish pizzas. Not upto the mark as Chicago style in Chicago famous pizzeria's. The pizza was cheesy with the cheese pulling and was kind of flavorful. Would recommend to try out their deep dish pizzas.

I went here for a date and we ordered the deep dish meat lovers pizza. It was amazing ! We had fantastic service as well.I ended up coming here again for lunch the next day and got a thin crust veggie pizza and also tried their chili. Both were great.

It was a beautiful mid-November day and we decided to visit Old Town Alexandria. We chose Bugsy's for lunch and had a table outside. Service was good. The fries were excellent and served hot! Coke products served. My only negatie is: Need more comfortable chairs that do not stab you in the back/hip area please.

Out enjoying a nice day with the family. We took a DC taxi to Alexandria for the day. We found Bugsy Pizza just searching for someone to eat. The service was phenomenal and the pizza was really good. We did their special with anchovies and the other halfpineapple and ham. Delicious and filling plus we had left overs. View menu

We spent last night in Alexandria exploring the area. At 9:00 we were looking for a place to eat. We settled on Bugsys and were able to sit right away. The road was loud with a lot of activity, but it was quiet and comfortable inside. We had a group of seven. The service was great and the food was also good. We ordered pizza, a calzone, spaghetti, a sandwich and salads. It is a beautiful casual environment and family friendly.

Last night, we spent some time exploring Alexandria and around 9 PM, we looked for a place to eat. We chose Bugsy's and were promptly seated. Despite the lively street outside, the interior was peaceful and cozy. Our party of seven enjoyed outstanding service, and the food was delightful too. We ordered pizza, a calzone, spaghetti, a sandwich, and salads. The atmosphere was relaxed and casual, making it a perfect spot for families.

I highly recommend avoiding this restaurant. Today we ordered two pizzas to take away, and after consuming about half of one, our friend discovered a disturbing surprise—a cockroach in the pizza. We immediately stopped eating and returned the pizza to the restaurant. Unfortunately, the manager's response was both disrespectful and shocking. He accused us of putting the cockroach on the pizza ourselves, and when we asked for his name, he outright refused to give it.

Incredible Pizza! Our group of 26 visited the restaurant, and while they were prepared for us, the pizzas came out quickly and tasted amazing. I enjoyed slices of the vegetable pizza and the spinach pizza, which turned out to be my favorite. Others in our group opted for cheese and pepperoni pizzas. The crust was thick yet flavorful, not bland at all. They also had a salad bar, which, although basic, offered fresh ingredients. One of the waiters kindly shared the restaurant's background with us when we inquired about its history, which was quite fascinating.

"This place really helped me adjust. I later learned that people gravitate towards certain bars, and I found my favorites, especially those with live music like Birchmere, Black Cat, 9:30 Club, Lincoln, Capital One Arena, and even the now-closed O'Shaughnessy's and Rock & Roll Hotel. One of my most memorable experiences was running into Rory Sheridan on one of my first visits. He was launching his DC music campaign back then and was part of Loud Boyz. We chatted a few times, and I even caught up with some old classmates. Another highlight was when I heard about a “reunion” night before Thanksgiving, and I decided to crash it. There were moments where people could be unkind or I felt out of place, but I was given some guidance on where I would fit in better, without the unnecessary drama. Being in Old Town, I was familiar with nearby schools like West Potomac, Mount Vernon, and Bishop Ireton. During my visits, I would often take an Alexandria cab or use Metro Access, being discreet about my disability since I felt embarrassed at times. Being a regular meant navigating the tourist scene, and there were people who seemed territorial about the place, but I ended up doing quite well when I sold my house. Good times continued with events like watching RG3 play for the Redskins or meetups organized by JT. I enjoyed New Year’s celebrations and weekend outings. I also frequented other establishments like Flying Fish before it closed, and O'Shaughnessy's before I decided to stop drinking. This is a sports bar located near a bicycle shop, close to the Ben & Jerry's I used to work at, along with many other walkable bars for bar hopping, like Union Street Pub and Fish Market. It can be a great place to have fun, but with the good comes some downsides. Overall, I felt well-hosted and respected here, despite some things I was not initially aware of or didn’t want to uncover."
