"When she brought us the bread, she dropped one piece on the floor and nonchalantly said, “Sorry, I dropped one, we don’t have any more.” After that, when we asked for a soda and requested ice, she rudely informed us that they had no ice. We then placed our food order, which included a family pack of vegetables, fried chicken, and pork ribs. However, what we received was incorrect: we ordered beef ribs, but all we got were pork ribs. I kindly explained to her that I specifically ordered beef for my wife, but she responded with an attitude, saying I hadn’t mentioned beef. My wife had clearly stated “beef” in both English and Spanish (“de res”). She offered to place another order but said we would have to wait. I insisted on just changing one order since it was their mistake. Eventually, she said she couldn’t do that. My wife and the others at our table were very disappointed with the service. Typically, we enjoy dining here; we’ve had good experiences with other staff, especially the Brazilian women who are always polite and attentive. However, this server, who I suspect is from Central or South America, was not only unfriendly but also unhelpful. I believe the manager needs to address this issue, or they risk losing customers. I have nothing against anyone from Central or South America; it was purely about this particular server’s attitude. Our food was fine; there were no complaints about the kitchen, but the service really left a sour taste."

The ribs were a little overcooked for our liking. The rice and garlic sauce was tasty. The grilled salmon was cooked and seasoned well. The shrimp were plentiful. You will have enough to take home.Food: 4/5

I always order the Large Sirloin Steak with garlic rice and vegetables and the Grilled salmon the same way. It's always good. Everything is good accept the shrimp. The shrimp are small and they always taste kinda grainy/mushy and have that black brownish vein in them. It was like this a few times in a row weeks/months apart. Good food at a reasonable price. The ribs and chicken had a great flavor. The portion was good. They overloaded with rice which had an okay flavor. The fries were good and the vegetables were very good to me.The location was crowded at about 2:00pm when I got there. The wait to place my order took a while. People just kept passing me.Food came relatively quick once ordered. Store was fairly clean.

I recently ordered pork chops with rice and vegetables, but I was disappointed to find that there was barely any rice—mostly just vegetables. When I called to inquire, I was told that this is their standard serving size, which was frustrating. I spent $30 on the meal, including a side of beans and dessert. This happened at the East Orange location, where I've been a regular customer and even recommended to others. However, I’m not sure I’ll be returning, especially since they used to serve bread but don't anymore.
