"This charming little mom-and-pop restaurant has a lot of local character. The owners clearly take great pride in their food, and it shows! In my opinion, this is the best Mexican cuisine in the entire Charlotte area. Their flautas, enchiladas, and tacos are absolutely amazing. I highly recommend trying the shredded beef. The homemade tamales are a delightful surprise! We haven’t yet tried the shrimp tacos or fajitas that other reviewers have recommended, but they’re on our list. The prices are great too, and you can order everything à la carte. I highly recommend this place!"

The chips and salsa were fantastic; the chips were warm, and the mild salsa tasted great, while the hot salsa had a nice lingering heat. I tried a shredded beef taco and a chicken burrito. I preferred the chicken burrito over the beef taco since I generally like chicken more. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to others.

My husband and I discovered Cactus Rose Cafe eight months ago, and we've been dining there regularly ever since. We’ve enjoyed a wide range of dishes from their menu, and we've always been satisfied. The food is outstanding, and the service and ambiance are wonderful. Their margaritas are also amazing! My husband and I have been savoring lunch at Cactus Rose Cafe ever since we discovered this hidden gem eight months ago. We've tried a variety of dishes from the menu, and we've never been disappointed. The food is excellent, and both the service and atmosphere are delightful. Their small pitchers of margaritas are also fantastic. We've dined at Mexican restaurants in Indian Trail, Monroe, Charlotte, Matthews, and other nearby areas, but Cactus Rose stands out as the best! We make the 15-mile journey here every week for lunch.
