"My husband and I discovered this charming little café just off 435 State Line back in 2015, and we’ve been fans ever since. When a friend mentioned they had never heard of it, I felt it was necessary to share our find. My husband, Chef Steve, is quite particular about his food, so when he praises Café Hà Tiên's vermicelli noodle bowl with egg roll and grilled pork, you know it’s something special. Even as a pescatarian, I can appreciate how perfectly the pork is grilled, the veggies and herbs are fresh and crisp, and the portions are generous enough that sometimes I get an extra crab Rangoon that Steve can’t eat! My personal favorite is the lemongrass tofu, which is unlike any Asian dish I've ever tried—aromatic, perfectly seasoned, and utterly delicious. It's uncommon to find restaurants that excel in both meat and vegetarian dishes, but Café Hà Tiên consistently impresses. I confess that I prefer mom-and-pop restaurants; I appreciate their authenticity and personal touches over the predictability of chain eateries. That being said, Café Hà Tiên truly is a local gem. From their robust Vietnamese coffee to their delightful flan dessert, they maintain a clean and friendly atmosphere, always eager to provide you with an authentic Vietnamese dining experience."

The food was incredible! The waitress was extremely friendly and didn’t rush us, even though we arrived about 30 minutes before closing time. The omelets were huge, and the biscuits were outstanding!

Clean cafe....excellent service...the owner who was the mother of our server dropped by our table and suggested we order the Lucky Buddha Beer..said it was her favorite and we could see why...great beer! The best pho in town! The restaurant is clean and inviting, and the staff is very friendly—it's a fantastic spot for lunch. I ordered the P1: Beef Pho, and the broth was incredibly rich and flavorful. The fresh add-ins included basil, cilantro, sprouts, lime, and a chili oil that adds just the right amount of heat if you enjoy that. All of this for around $10, and I left feeling completely satisfied! I highly recommend this place!

Great hometown restaurant vibe. We are thrilled to have discovered this spot. It is small in a strip mall but feels like our small rural town's local Cafe. Waitress treats each customer like a longtime friend. We suspect many are regulars. The food is fantastic, each order is prepared individually. No make ahead meals waiting or getting cold here. Too bad they can't be open for all meal times. This is definitely a place to veer off the freeway for a personal fill-up of food hospitality!

I tried the Philly Omelet special, and it was decent, but it didn't compare to an authentic Philly sandwich. The biscuits and gravy, on the other hand, were outstanding. While The Big Biscuit does have slightly better biscuits, Jerry's gravy really outshines it, creating a much better pairing. The pancake was served on a pizza pan, which I thought was a fun touch—maybe they should consider serving it with a pizza cutter too! The food and service were exceptional. Jerry, your restaurant is outstanding! The owner is truly passionate about what he does and is very personable. I visited with a coupon at 12:30 PM on July 18, 2021, and Jerry welcomed it with a smile. I ordered the patty melt, and it was incredible—so tender it melted in my mouth. The onion rings were perfectly crispy, and the large pancake even came in a pizza box! The loaded fries were delicious, and the hash browns, bacon, and eggs were all flavorful. As a woman of color, I can honestly say that the food was seasoned just right.

Awesome breakfast!!! My daughters and I stopped in after the KC Color Run all covered in goop and powder and were greeted with smiles and an invitation for a table. The place is small, and it was packed!!! We love community restaurants like this! The owner was kind to my girls and even surprised one of them with a root beer float...because nothing says breakfast like a root beer float!
