"To give you some context: I had lunch at Panda Express before dining at Chef Ming's. While I have nothing against Panda, it quickly became clear who reigns supreme in terms of flavor after my meal at Ming's. The dishes here are less greasy, contain no MSG, and aren't overly salty—it's as if they've graduated from an etiquette school for well-mannered meals! Despite being tiny, with just a bar counter for on-site dining, don’t underestimate its impact. The takeout service operates like a well-oiled machine, consistently churning out one delectable order after another. Though the prices might suggest a Beverly Hills experience, your wallet won't complain once you taste the magic that’s on offer. In summary, Chef Ming's Kitchen may be small, but it boasts enough character and flavor to surpass many larger Asian restaurants. It’s like the little engine that could, racing forward on the tracks of culinary delight and leaving fast food chains like Panda Express in its flavorful wake."

Rice was hard and old and DRY! A definite no! We ordered shrimp fried rice and vegetable fried rice.

Would definitely come back and try their other dishes. Had their king pal chicken and Singapore noodles and both plates where left empty as they both had good flavors and spices. Going to save this spot for the area. View menu

I ordered from here recently; General tso’s chicken. It was HORRIBLE quality. Every bite I took was chewy and stringy “meat”. I spit each bite out, then I just had to dispose the rest of this food after. It made me sick after too. Do not recommend this place at all. Worst quality ever.

Chef Mings Kitchen is one of the best Chinese takeouts in LA just fantastic have been going to Chef Ming ever since Chef Ming was on Santa Monica Blvd and Crescent Heights (I even went there with Madonna once) and it is still just as good as it was in the 80s (when I lived in Laurel Canyon).

I've been going to this restaurant since it opened. It's fairly decent for takeout Chinese food. However, the prices are significantly higher than they should be for this type of cuisine. Inflation in wholesale food costs cannot justify their current pricing. Charging $19 for fried rice is absolutely outrageous. Overall, I'd rate the food a 3 out of 5. View menu

so i have known about this place since about 2011, however never had a desire to try it. Just seemed possibly dumpy (sorry. Plus those mailers on a door never tend to be something I go for. but the food is legit. The sweet and sour chicken (which i haven't had since I was a kid was actually good. The chicken lo mien was delicious. We ended up ordering a couple weeks later and got the orange chicken. That was decent, but not wow... Looking forward to try again in the future. It is definitely not something I can eat regularly, but would if I had the metabolism of my high school era.

I visited this restaurant today, Sunday, and I won't be returning. The staff never asked how my food was or if I needed water. The table was dirty, and the food lacked the authentic Chinese flavors you would expect; honestly, a TV dinner would taste better and cost much less. I couldn't help but notice that I was the only customer, which makes me think the locals know better. Save yourself the disappointment and choose a different place. I'm new to the area and learning this the hard way. Is it common for restaurants to serve food in plastic trays? Take-out is fine, but when I dine in, I expect to eat off a proper plate, especially considering the price. This situation feels really off! I us...

"Haven't been to Spago since their facelift and I'm so happy some things never change. Spago is still the overall number one restaurant in all of Los Angeles. First, the ambiance: The new look is updated but not overdone and the feeling in the dining room and the garden is still very much warm, cozy and elegant. The Food: Pure perfection from start to finish!! We opted to go with the tasting menu $240 per person) along with some choice wines throughout the meal a full wine pairing is also available). Every single item in the tasting menu ranged from very good to amazing. The fact that this kitchen crew can execute a regular a-la-carte menu, along with a separate tasting menu to such perfection of timing and most importantly look and flavor is quite impressive. Favorites were the Gazpacho, Halibut, and Veal but everything else was absolutely delicious!! The tasting menu is extensive and for most people would be enough but not for us!! So added the ridiculously amazing bread box, a side of what can only be described as the best mashed potatoes you will ever have, and a chocolate soufflé....why you ask...jest because The service: Our server Gerhardt and the Sommelier Devin were superstars, as well as the team around them. Service pace was perfect and the wines recommended by Devin were excellent Gruner Veltliner, Rioja, Riesling). GREAT JOB!!!"
