"I ordered Cantonese chicken with mixed vegetables and fried rice, spending over $17.00. However, what I received was a small tray of just broccoli and red peppers—no chicken whatsoever, not even a shred. The fried rice tasted old and seemed to be reheated. Honestly, it was the worst dining experience. For a chicken dish costing $17, I would expect at least a piece of chicken! Plus, they automatically charged me a $1 tip since I didn’t order online. I won’t be returning to this place."

This was the best meal I've had in a very long time in Shelby!!! Great service and price too! Vegan! I loved the tofu with mixed vegetables, sub rice for cabbage and added mushrooms, so good!!!

I absolutely love this food! For a takeout dinner, it costs about $30–$50 per person. The food is outstanding, earning a rating of 5, while the service is also great, rated 4. The atmosphere is pleasant, rating a 4 as well. I highly recommend trying the Hot and Sour soup, Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, Sesame Chicken, and Mongolian Beef! View menu

We ordered chicken shrimp Hibachi, Sesam Tofu, cheese biscuits, tofu salad wraps and egg rolls for takeout. Desperate that roasted pineapple (on menu) was not available, and would like to see a few more vegetarian/ vegan choices, but the food was good and fresh, and waiting was not long. The service was very friendly. Would recommend.

The food and service is always top Notch. I love them offer low carb options. A friend and I sat 30 minutes after closing time. The staff was not impatient, nor did they mention it. Chen’s is by far the best Chinese restaurant in the area for going out or diving. They are family-friendly, but also perfect for date night and a beautiful place for cocktails.

I visited this restaurant on a Friday night at 7 PM, and it was surprisingly quiet. I ordered pepper steak and four egg rolls to-go. Unfortunately, the egg rolls were not crispy as they should have been; they seemed either boiled or had been sitting out for a while. They definitely didn't taste fresh. I was so excited to eat Chen?s tonight?then I was disappointed. I get home and open my food, put it in a plate and shook my head. I received a lot of vegetables with my little bit of rice (the rice box wasn?t full), very little beef and shrimp. I?ve been getting Chen?s for years and the past few times I?ve gotten it?the portions have gone way down and the prices have gone way up! So disappointed!

Not as good as we thought it would be. Did the lunch buffet and there were only about 4 meat items to choose from. Then there was rice and lomein. Food itself was not bad but the amount of options and staff attitudes were less than desirable. Price wasn't too bad; 2 buffets and 2 drinks came out a little more than $20. Ordering from the menu might be better but I doubt we'll be going back again to try.
