"They serve the most delicious wonton soup—it's warm and comforting. It's my go-to when I'm feeling under the weather or just need some comfort food; you’ll absolutely love it. Everything is so fresh! The staff is always incredibly friendly. I tried the chicken sesame that the lady mentioned as her favorite, along with the spicy curry tofu. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu; everything is fresh and satisfying! The presentation is lovely as well. I've been ordering from them for years for takeout, and I always get the spicy veggies—no bamboo shoots for me, though! I love my friends at China Garden!"

My family had a great time during our meal. I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars, which feels just about right.

The food was excellent! The orange chicken, pepper steak, and wonton soup were all delicious. The service was quick and the staff was very friendly!

The sesame chicken is so nice and warm this is the definition of greatness. This chicken is so good and juicy that it makes your mouth shiver at every taste. The rice is also very good and does not do to much I 100% recommended this Chinese restaurant and I will be back

I will not be going back. The service was terrible, they gave me the wrong order, argued with me about it and then double charged me. Never was there a hint of an apology. The food was ok. I am addressing this through American Express as I have nofaith that they will resolve this on their own. View menu

I ordered chicken with broccoli with extra sauce. When I got my food it was dry, no sauce at all. The chicken was rubbery and the broccoli was over done. I?m from out of town and I wanted Chinese food, I figured it was an easy dish and they couldn?t mess up chicken with broccoli.... LIES THE WORST I EVER TASTED

I won't be returning to this restaurant. The service was awful; they gave me the wrong order and even argued with me about it, then charged me twice. There was no sign of an apology the entire time. The food was just mediocre. I'm addressing this issue with American Express because I don't trust that they will resolve it on their own.

The food here is always fresh, hot, flavorful, and delicious. Their delivery is incredibly quick as well! The vegetables are wonderfully crunchy, and it’s clear that they don’t use frozen options. They also make substitutions or additions easy and hassle-free. This is definitely my favorite Chinese restaurant, and I highly recommend it! View menu

China Garden was decent. Had Kung Pao chicken and shrimp spring roll ????. The Kung Pao was fine and not too salty. So was the shrimp roll. Nothing to rave about. But good enough to give 2.75 stars and give a recommendation. One thing that Ididn't like, I had to pay for my own water. No soda fountain and I do not like canned Coke. Also, plastic forks and paperplate. I decided to eat in restaurant and it was pretty bare. No silverware. The fixin's were all in small plastic packets. Iwill go back of I am in the neighborhood and craving Chinese food.

China Garden was an average experience. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken and a shrimp spring roll. The Kung Pao chicken was tasty and not overly salty, while the shrimp roll was also enjoyable. Although nothing was particularly exceptional, the food was good enough for a rating of 2.75 stars and I would recommend it. One downside was that I had to pay for water because there was no soda fountain, and I’m not a fan of canned Coke. Additionally, the restaurant used plastic forks and paper plates instead of silverware. The atmosphere was quite basic, with minimal furnishings and no tableware.

"This place really helped me adjust. I later learned that people gravitate towards certain bars, and I found my favorites, especially those with live music like Birchmere, Black Cat, 9:30 Club, Lincoln, Capital One Arena, and even the now-closed O'Shaughnessy's and Rock & Roll Hotel. One of my most memorable experiences was running into Rory Sheridan on one of my first visits. He was launching his DC music campaign back then and was part of Loud Boyz. We chatted a few times, and I even caught up with some old classmates. Another highlight was when I heard about a “reunion” night before Thanksgiving, and I decided to crash it. There were moments where people could be unkind or I felt out of place, but I was given some guidance on where I would fit in better, without the unnecessary drama. Being in Old Town, I was familiar with nearby schools like West Potomac, Mount Vernon, and Bishop Ireton. During my visits, I would often take an Alexandria cab or use Metro Access, being discreet about my disability since I felt embarrassed at times. Being a regular meant navigating the tourist scene, and there were people who seemed territorial about the place, but I ended up doing quite well when I sold my house. Good times continued with events like watching RG3 play for the Redskins or meetups organized by JT. I enjoyed New Year’s celebrations and weekend outings. I also frequented other establishments like Flying Fish before it closed, and O'Shaughnessy's before I decided to stop drinking. This is a sports bar located near a bicycle shop, close to the Ben & Jerry's I used to work at, along with many other walkable bars for bar hopping, like Union Street Pub and Fish Market. It can be a great place to have fun, but with the good comes some downsides. Overall, I felt well-hosted and respected here, despite some things I was not initially aware of or didn’t want to uncover."

"My friends and I went to Cheesetique for restaurant week. We sat outside. The space was great, the weather was great. Upon arrival, it took a server about 15 minutes to come to our table, and that was only after a friend went inside to ask for someone to service us. The server who had served our friends, who had arrived 10 minutes prior, was bartending. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. The drinks came out relatively soon after. The food took a normal amount of time to come out of the kitchen. We got the watermelon, quinoa salad and truffle balls as apps. There was no dressing with the salad, just spinach leaves, watermelon, and quinoa. It was very basic. The truffle balls, although good, were balls of cheese. They gave huge cheese balls but only 3 tiny pieces of bread. We ordered a Mac and cheese for the table which was not salted very well at all. For the main course, we ordered gnocchi, pot pie, and braised beef. The beef and mashed potatoes were the best. The pot poe and gnocchi were not nearly salted enough. All the food came out 'warm ' at best. Dessert was fine. Overall, not at all worth the amount we paid for restaurant week. We were left disappointed. The service was slow. I do understand they might have been short staffed, but even waitresses who were not our servers looked as us, after being there for 15 min and walked past. We asked someone to get us water, which was never brought to us, so overall, disappointed in our dining experience, considering how much we paid."
