"I can't say enough good stuff about Chupacabra! Chupacabra is a family owned restaurant, and the family is absolutely wonderful. My husband and I first tried Chupacabra during the First Friday Cocoa Crawl in Aurora. We went back recently, and I think it was even better this time around!! I had the Papi's Pollo Frito (Fried Chicken) with Guava BBQ sauce and Puerto Rican Rice. My husband had the traditional Christmas dish it's so popular that they've kept it on the menu (for now). It is roast pork and Mofongo, smashed plantain with herbs, served with a sauce. The fried Chicken was honestly the best I've ever had. Rather than being breaded and fried, the drumsticks are seasoned and fried in their own skin. The skin gets super crispy and yummy, while the meat stay moist. The rice was great, too!! Super tasty! The Christmas dish pork was moist and delicious, and the Mofongo is outstanding. I'm going to make sure to get mofongo next time! We'd previously had the street food and fritters, and nothing disappointed. The restaurant is very small, with seating for about 5 parties. It has a very casual feel. The staff the owners are such nice, friendly people. We will be going back, and taking friends to try it out! One of our new favorites."

This restaurant is rarely open. Every time I try to visit, it seems to be closed. It’s quite frustrating!

First time at Chupacabra and it won't be my last! The food was absolutely amazing, so much flavor! The service was great, all of my questions were answered with ease. The ambiance gave a very homely vibe, I loved it! Will definitely be back.

We had an amazing experience! The food was outstanding, and our server was both friendly and attentive. We'll definitely come back when we're in the area again! Just a note for those with dietary needs: there are many gluten-free options available!

I seriously love the Jibarito plantain sandwich (Pork), that I came back in 2 days to have it again! I've never had Puerto Rican food before (smh) but my husband who has hands down love the Jibarito's here. Portion is great and satisfying for one person. Do not share! Service here is awesome too! They're always checking on you if you need anything and making sure the food tastes great. The restaurant itself is not that huge but I came here with a group of 7 people. There are enough seats for a large group. I just wouldn't recommend going on the weekends during busy hours with a large group. There is free parking in the back of the building up to 3 hours during the weekdays. I can't wait to c... View menu

My family and I are huge fans of this place! We've had their catering before and used to frequent their food truck in Naperville, which was more convenient for us. When we learned they opened a restaurant, we couldn't wait to visit! The food is truly amazing and very satisfying. The staff is exceptionally kind and welcoming. We did feel a little guilty for not noticing that others were waiting to be seated while we were leaving, but the staff was patient and didn’t rush us, which we really appreciated. Most of us ordered the jibarito meal with pork and steak, served with rice, and I would give it a perfect 10/10. The guava juice was good, though a bit diluted for my liking. Overall, the food...

Obsessed! I had been wanting to try Chupacabra for some time now (partly due to the delicious smells wafting from the building, and partly because I'm crazy 4 cryptids). They did not disappoint in the slightest!I believe the owner was our server and she was so friendly and knowledgable. I had asked her about their gluten free offerings and she was able to point out every single thing on the menu without hesitation, and also gave me a primer on Puerto Rican cuisine being naturally gluten free (in most cases they did have a few offerings that were not GF but she assured me there was no cross contamination). We had the mofongo with pernil and tostones. I cannot begin to tell you how delicious ev...
