"what a great surprise in bolinas. thank you! Fellow-Gelper, for the evaluations and the research of a place to try, after a hike in palomares, much easier. bolinas is a small coastal town, so note, parking can be challenging, especially at the weekends. After a long hike I was looking forward to trying the Drakes Bay oysters, was definitiw not disappointed! very similar in size and taste of one of my favorite, tomals bay sweet water, maybe just a little fleshy, tasteful, do not need additional flavors. delicious, if you love uttering, you have to try. I also ordered a cup of mush, very tasty, many muscheln and taste, great to dive the brot that comes with it. Although this time was a lot, it was very tempting to taste their freshly caught lachsburger, which was the special one today. very extensive brunch menu, try something for everyone. the service was great, along with asking how everything was, my glass was never empty before I asked if I wanted another. if they are in the opposite, wander or enjoy a ride on the coast, in any case in one they give this place an attempt, they will not be disappointed. happy egg, bless and cheerful!"

I give the place a 9 for charm and the staff a 2 for hospitality and service. One of the most disorganized restaurants I've ever been to.

We enjoyed three meals at Coast Cafe during our week in Bolinas. The food was not only delicious but also creatively and elegantly presented on each plate. This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars!

Coast Cafe has the best fish and chips I've ever had in my life, my wife and I come back every few months just to have it again. The buffalo milk ice cream is also incredible, smooth, rich and delicious.

This looks like the only place to eat at Bolinas Beach. We had the steamed clams (3 star) and a grilled chicken sandwich (4 star). The place was crowded by the time we left on a weekday lunch so it must be the decent place. View menu

Not only the owner tried to find cables to jump start my motorcycle dead battery, he also helped recharge my iPhone to get the next bus to the city. I ended up resting at the restaurant and ordered their delicious clam chowder and garlic bread.

While the staff may have seemed a bit inexperienced—who doesn't know how to make an Irish coffee?—they were friendly, the establishment was clean, and the food was delicious. The prices were reasonable and contributed to the inviting, cozy atmosphere of this charming little spot.

Both of us ordered chowder and bread for lunch, as well as a crisp apple cider each. Service was welcoming and friendly and our food arrived quickly. It was a blustery day and the soup was very warming at our outdoor table. We will definitely be back there aren't too many places to choose from in Bolinas : View menu

Terrible service and food. We asked for taste of wine glass never came. We ordered burger and no cheese? What the hell? I asked the waiter and she said we should have ordered it. The clam chowder has no flavor. The egg and fish Benedict was great. The burger was okay, but the fries came out cold. The sweet young girl who was bussing the table was the only one working hard. The Spanish waiter with tattoo on her legs needs serious training.

Once we were finally seated, our server—a blond-haired guy—was fantastic. He had an impressive memory and didn't need to write anything down. The food arrived in a timely manner and was quite tasty; we were pleased with the portions for the price and had no complaints there. Parking can be limited, but we didn't expect anything different. Since there aren't many dining options in the area, if you're nearby, it's worth a visit. My friends enjoyed the place once we finally got seated. However, I personally wouldn't return because I wouldn't want to deal with the uncertainty of the wait time again. Effective communication is key in customer service, and I felt that was lacking during our visit...

"Two stars primarily for the quick courteous service, cleanliness, and pizza with sourdough crust was yummy. Of course the convenience factor of a sit down meal as you walk off the beach was very nice also. I would have given 2 more stars if the prices were a bit more reasonable, and the menu selections would have included more than just overpriced seafood selections and a burger. How about a shrimp Louie salad or Cobb salad? We ordered the mussels/clams appetizer $24, a cheese pizza to go $22, glass of sparkling wine $14 and a lemonade $4.50. Total including tax and tip for this snack was $84!!!! That might have been ok except for the fact that the restaurant has a strict policy that ALL pizza orders are to-go only and CANNOT be eaten inside the restaurant regardless of the amount of food and drink you order off of the menu. Why is this? How about we can eat the pizza if we order $100 or more worth of food/beverages? We would have done this! So the mussels and clams and wine and lemonade were brought out first. And then only AFTER we polished those off did the waitress offer to check on our cheese pizza and then promptly brought us the check and our $22 cheese pizza in a brown cardboard box. So for nearly $90 the 2 of us quiet older adults were rushed out to go eat our pizza on the beach like hobos with no water or drinks. There were only 2 of us... the restaurant was largely empty both before and after we were there. We would have easily hung out and ordered another $30 worth of drinks while we ate our pizza that we were forbidden to eat inside the restaurant. Here 's what I would suggest if you decide to visit this beach for the day. Pack or bring your own lunch and wine at home or stop at a Safeway on the way to the beach. Bring a blanket and eat on the beach and skip this restaurant unless you don 't mind plopping down around $100 for a cheese pizza lunch for 2 people (including tax/tip). Or if you want something hot just order the $22 cheese pizza in a box, skip the drinks and mussels, and plan to schlep it out to the beach to eat. I won 't be back primarily because the value just isn 't there."
