"Let me start by saying--I've been to Italy more times than I care to admit (seriously, my pasta passport is practically full). I've also been a frequent visitor to this restaurant, even back when it was downtown. They had a great bring-your-own-bottle policy, which I believe they still offer--a fantastic perk. Now, about the food. If you're anything like me and could happily live on pasta for a week straight, this place will hit the spot. The taste is as authentic as it gets without hopping on a plane to Italy, and the prices are refreshingly reasonable. Plus, they give you a 20% discount if you do takeout--who doesn't love a good deal? The portions are not humongous, but generous, especially for those of us used to American-sized meals. Think McDonald's large set meets a European Italian restaurant (but with actual flavor). The portions might be smaller than Olive Garden or Buca di Beppo, but the quality here is on a whole different level. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with an ambience that makes you want to linger a little longer. If you're looking for a spot that's a feast for both your eyes and your taste buds, this is the place to be."

Tried this for the first time tonight. The service was good and they were able to accommodate a large party (about 16 of us). The food was amazing especially the carbonara and melt in your mouth lasagna

Bread was so hard and Pasta was over cooked. My favorite dish, seafood soup was not tasty any more like it used to. I saw rotten peppers in the box at their kitchen. It didn't make me feel comfortable. I used to love this restaurant at DTLA but I don't think I'll go again after their move.

My boyfriend and I had dinner date here this week. We were browsing around the neighborhood and ended up at this nice Italian restaurant. The owner was super lovely and took great care of us. Their carbonara and their vegetable soup was delicious as was their Panna Cotta! Great safe area with great parking! Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who's craving authentic Italian food.

Looked for a place with good reviews to eat with my family. Upon entering we were greeted kindly and served well. The bread they serve while you order tastes great and the lemonade wasn't overly sweet compared to other places that add too much sugar. The food was amazing and the ricotta cheesecake we had for desert was a nice welcome addition to end our dinner. A nice ambience and hospitable owners . : View menu

Great neighborhood spot we live nearby and like to come here for a cozy meal. They have a simple beverage menu with a few affordable and mass appealing bottles of wine available. For a meal for 2 people including 1 appetizer, 1 salad, 2 entrees, and a bottle of wine, our bill came in just under $100 (before tip). Everything was delicious. We saw positive reviews of the sausage appetizer, and it didn't disappoint. The server mentioned that the pumpkin ravioli would be

I absolutely love the ambiance of this cute place ! It's a homey vibe like you're eating at a friends house and the owner is a treat! Her personality and service are top tier! I was greeted pleasantly, seated promptly and had fresh bread, ice water, and utensils in front of me in no time! I already knew I wanted soup and pasta so I ordered tortilla soup and the carbonara pasta! It was so delicious and authentic! The flavor was there!! I had a wonderful dining experience and can't wait to come back and check out the other dishes! This place is in a nice safe neighborhood with a small parking lot attached ! Easy to find hard to want to leave !

Stopped by for dinner after going to the Natural History Museum (only 2 miles away). We were greeted with smiles and fresh bread. We went through 3 baskets! We had the steak arugula appetizer, fettuccine Alfredo (my son scraped this dish clean and said it was the best), and the Spaghetti Mare, loaded with mussels, calamari, clams, and shrimp. These dishes did not disappoint! Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The owner was very personable and friendly! It was a lovely date with my 9-year old! We'll be back! Thank you! A cozy spot for Italian food, with a small outdoor patio. Perfect date night spot as you can bring your own wine, they provide the glasses. Parking is tiny, just a h... View menu

I 'm truly happy that Colori Kitchen continues to thrive, even after moving locations. I started patronising the erstwhile downtown location in 2010. Their food and service has been consistently excellent. I have always apprecited the no corkage fee BYOW policy it 's so lovely to pop in with a favourite bottle of wine to enjoy with a quality Italian meal. The sauces are flavourful, the bread is soft and tasty, the pasta is fresh and delicious. I 've always been there when it 's packed, but it 's never obnoxiously noisy and service is always friendly and efficient, no matter how busy it is. I describe Colori as a hole in the wall , but I mean it affectionately and I have recommended them to c...

So nice to know that some of your all time favorite restaurants still maintain and upkeep the same quality and consistency throughout all of these years. It was my first time at this new relocation, which is a thousand times better than their dtla location in the past. My friend and I dropped by for dinner a few nights ago and she knew I was hungry since I am eating for two. We ordered the caesar salad, lasagna, spaghetti arrabiata, and the sole fish. Everything was sooooo scrumptious. My friend was so impressed because she's only gotten takeout Colori before. The lasagna here is my husband's favorite lasagna of all time so of course I had to order another order to go (which is 20% off for t...

"We visited the Los Alamitos location this trip for late lunch, early dinner. My husband got an All American Beach Melt. It was a full pound cheeseburger on grilled Parmesan Sour Dough. He was delightfully overwhelmed! I decided to try the prime rib dinner because the prime rib dip is out of this world! I was extremely disappointed! The meat was cold and flavorless. The aujus again had no flavor. The creamy horseradish could have been sour cream, and it has absolutely no flavor at all, no zing. Our waitress was sweet but disappointing. All of our food came to the table at the same time. Our appetizer actually arrived after our entree plates. Our waitress did a vanishing act. She did not once return to the table. Our water and tea cups sat empty throughout our meal. Other servers took care of the tables to our right, and to our left, we remained completely ignored. After finishing our meals, we sat for about 15 20 minutes with my husband, trying to get anyone to pay attention to even our empty glasses. Finally, it appeared to be someone in management who asked if we were waiting for boxes. My husband told her we 'd like a check AND boxes so we can leave. She brought our check and 3 boxes, no questions or comments. My husband paid in cash, and she said, I 'll see you next time. He commented. There won 't be a next time. We enjoy the Foothill Ranch location, a much friendlier environment. Today 's lesson learned is that it was not a good idea to order steak at a sandwich shop."

"Our first visit to the restaurant last night came highly recommended, thanks to a friend's glowing review of their vegan menu. We were pretty excited and ordered two vegan meatball subs. The trouble began when we waited for nearly 25 minutes after placing our order. Our server, a guy named Ryan (I think), came over and told us they were all out of vegan meatballs. Naturally, we asked why it took so long for them to figure this out, which seemed to fluster poor Ryan a bit. However, he was polite throughout the conversation. We decided to switch our order to one regular meatball sub and a vegan eggplant sub, thinking all was well. But, surprise, surprise, Ryan returned a few minutes later to tell us they were also out of eggplant. At this point, we had been waiting for almost 40 minutes with no food in sight, so we asked for the check to pay for the soda my husband had been nursing. Here's why the whole experience left a sour taste in our mouths: 1. Why in the world didn't the waitstaff know about these shortages in advance? It seems like basic communication within the restaurant was seriously lacking. Customers shouldn't be left hanging, wondering if they'll actually get what they ordered. 2. It's kind of baffling that Ryan was left to break the bad news not just once, but twice. You'd think the manager, who we saw chatting with other diners just a few feet away, would have taken the initiative to come over and speak to us directly. 3. I was made to feel like I should be really grateful they decided not to charge us for the Diet Coke my husband drank. Overall it was a terrible experience and no effort was made to rectify what happened. I obviously cannot comment on the food since we never recieved any. As for customer service...HORRIBLE!"
