"Definitely grab a bite if you are close to Dayton BUT if you are having an event in the area, look no further than Dayton Tavern! We just had Mama's Caboose out to cater our wedding and service our bar and WOW! We served Pretzels that everyone RAVED over and Philly Cheesesteaks and holy cow, even our friends from Philly said it was they best they'd had (outside of Philly, of course . From Day 1, their service has been absolutely amazing. Their catering manager and owner are always on point and always had everything we needed, even last minute! Everyone on their team went ABOVE AND BEYOND anything we ever could have expected and I wish we could have gotten photos of the bartenders because they were a BLAST and HALF. Icing on the cake? We got to have a cute caboose food truck at our train station venue : Stop looking. You've found the place to eat and/or cater your next event ;"

It was said this is a good place for lunch. You're right! Not too far from the beat and path. The server was nice and friendly, the food was very good. This becomes one of our needs to eat places from time to time.

What a GEM! This place is a very quaint local restaurant. My husband and I ate dinner that recently and we both had the NY Strip. It was amazing! Very juicy and cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back for more. View menu

This is likely the cleanest tavern I’ve ever been to! Our server, Josh, was welcoming right from the start. We ordered the crabcake appetizer, which was delicious. I had the pork ribeye, and it was juicy and cooked to perfection, plus the fries were crispy!

Oh my goodness, this was a wonderful experience here. Just happened to be traveling through and got lucky finding Dayton Tavern. We will be back. The pierogies are just fantastic. I do recommend you call ahead at busiest times to see if you need reservations. We sat at the bar and that was just fine we were glad they accommodated us.

What a great date night spot in the quiet town of Dayton! While the steak was a bit more done than I prefer it, it was very flavorful. Their sangria (both white and red are easily the best in town!! This restaurant deserves a five-star rating. The Schellfish tacos were the best I've ever tasted, generously topped with sauce, and the homemade chips were excellent. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Swiss cheese hamburger and the large onion rings. The service was fantastic even though the place was busy. It was also nice to chat with the friendly owner.

I was in the area and noticed that Dayton Tavern looked much more inviting than a nearby place. I'm so glad we decided to have dinner there! The cheesesteak was excellent, and the homemade chips were fantastic. Our server was really friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. I can't forget to mention their desserts—especially the peanut butter cake, which was large, affordable, and delicious! If you found this helpful, please give it a thumbs up!
