"This is honest to goodness Italian pizza... Well, that's how I've always imagined Italian pizza, anyway. I was told about Desano by a friend several years ago. He said it was the best pizza in Nashville and he was 100% right. If you're debating between Joey's and Desano, go with Desano 100% of the time. The service is friendly and fast. They use ovens that cook the pizzas in around 2 minutes. The crust is thin and has the perfect amount of chewiness. I could literally drink the sauce. I always ask for extra on the side to dip my crust. I'm not usually a fan of meaty pizzas, but I am at Desano. They only use the finest and freshest ingredients. My family normally orders the "Desano". I believe it has pepperoni and sausage delivered from Chicago. The cheese is too good to describe with words. I'm a big foodie so I'm always trying new places, but Desano has been my favorite for years. Simply can't beat it."

Wood oven, authentic Italian imported ingredients and AMAZING! We found this place by chance and even though the place was busy our pizza was ready in 15 minutes. The saff was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town.

Pizza is soooo good. Ingredients are fresh and the atmosphere is pretty cool. This is authentic Italian pizza. This is not grease mop pizza so if that's what your looking for than you may not like it. They have oils and vinegars you can mix with garlic, salt and pepper for crust dipping. The only negative for me is they don't have fountain drinks. You have to buy expensive bottles for soda and water. If you want a water cup you have to get your water out of a drinking fountain and that is just gross. I will go back though because the pizza is the best I've ever had!
