"We had a great lunch at Wa Jeal. Starting with spring onion pancakes (delicious) and ending with chicken and broccoli (again delicious), the lunch menu (rice, main course and soup) was very cheap and delicious. The environment is wonderful - brick walls and pretty decorations and the service excellent. Highly recommended!!"

"I was very excited to try to the Southold Fish Market this afternoon. My wife and I called-in an order of two wraps for takeout. When we arrived, I went inside to pick-up our order. There was a short line of customers waiting to pick-up orders, and all seemed to be following social distancing practices, wearing masks, etc. I expected to and had no issue waiting a few minutes to pick up the order. As it turns out, I ended up being not only complacent with a short wait, but thankful as I looked around and saw multiple employees (1) wearing masks improperly, (2) pulling them off of their face to talk to customers, and (3) not wearing masks at all, while eating behind the register. At this point, I left the restaurant and called to let them know what I had observed and that I would not be picking up the order. After I explained this, the person on the phone said that she managed one part of the room and all of the employees in that part of the room were wearing masks. I'm not a public health or infectious disease expert, but I don't think half of the employees following the rules is going to work in this case. I'm trying to think of ways to give the Southold Fish Market as an establishment the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately I'm having a difficult time doing so. It wasn't one or two employees behaving inappropriately, it was nearly everyone working there. The manager I spoke to on the phone wasn't apologetic, but defensive. The message that this pattern of behavior sends me is that they don't take customer health and safety seriously."

"We eat at a lot of Turkisk and Mediterranean restaurants and this is in our top three or four. We had an excellent lunch there and all the food was top notch. Their baba ghanoush is the second best we have ever had. We each had a wrap that were very flavorful, albeit a mess to eat as they were chock full of ingredients. The baklava was just okay as I think it was pistachio and I don't remember that being stated on the menu. Also the skin was not very flaky as I prefer. The service was spot on although at 2:00 in the afternoon there were only three or so tables being waited on. The interior is quaint and relaxing. The pricing is somewhat exorbitant. $95.00 (including tip) for two people is high for a lunch with only tap water and one hot tea ordered to drink and the one dessert. Regardless, this was our second visit to the OB and we would certainly eat there again."

"After a week of continuous rain, Wednesday was no different. In need of a quick and simple dinner, we decided to go for a few slices of pizza. We ordered Grandma's Mozzarella and buffalo chicken slices, along with a Greek salad and some soda to dine in. The pizza joint had a casual, old-school vibe reminiscent of the 90s, practical and efficient. The service was quick and our slices were heated up for us. The pizza had a crispy thin crust with generous toppings and delicious flavor. The Greek salad was fresh and well executed. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal, especially since there are so many pizza options on the North Fork and it can be hard to choose. We were happy to have found a satisfying meal on a rainy night."

"New to the area and currently focused on trying a new restaurant every weekend. I was excited to try First and South and enjoy a more American traditional restaurant. The atmosphere was great as it was packed and people were having a good time. The food was seriously ~okay~ my tuna burger was not medium rare which is what I asked for, it was well done. What I think the restaurant could most improve on is their cocktail program. For $16 I don’t think a cocktail should ever come with a clear plastic straw, poor quality ice, and no presentation other then a quarter of a lemon in a town where more and more cocktail bars are opening up with similar prices and exorbitantly better quality, First and South should take this to heart. Probably won’t return but glad I visited"
