"My friend and I came to Galena for a little day getaway. Fried Green Tomatoes was a recommendation to us and the reviews looked good so we decided to come. We were so excited to have a nice dinner. I love the look of the inside. You could instantly tell the manager was great at his job. Sadly he is one of the only reasons there is a star. We ordered bruschetta for an appetizer and I thought it was delicious. Main course was lobster ravioli and 2 seared scallops. I got the lobster ravioli and it was fine- wasn’t wow. I bit into a scallop and instantly spit it out. It tasted and smelled old- I couldn’t identify what the smell was besides cleaning product or a hair bleach, but then I realized it is an ammonia scent to it. Regardless if it was an off day, I feel like the chef should have noticed this and been a little more careful. I was just super disappointed. The scallops were taken off the bill but I’m still upset I spent $50 for a meal not that great. I don’t mean to be harsh when it comes to this review, but I’m just being honest. I also deducted a star because as a mother I feel all restaurants should have changing table this one did not. It should be mandatory for any family friendly restaurant to have a changing table- there’s enough room for one. I do this to every restaurant without a changing table. I wouldn’t go back:"

Food was superb, our waitress was friendly, pricing was a lil high but not out of range for this type of restaurant. Portions were good and the fresh baked bread was a nice touch. And of course, the fried green tomatos were awesome

This is one of our favorite places in Galena. I had the Espresso Steak with a side of Seared Scallops. It was awesome!! my wife had the Just A Plain Filet and she was very happy with it as well. We really have never had a bad option on the menu and we have been here with family and friends or just a quiet Date Nite for the two of us. It 's always been a solid place to go for a great meal. our server, madison, was absolutely wonderful! I couldn't stand my mind between several judgements and she was very knowledgeable about each court and really helped me to make my understanding. our water glasses were never more than half empty and she was super attentive to our table. the food was delicious and tasteful! the garlic bread should die. I would recommend fried green tomatoes to everyone!

One of the best culinary experiences I've ever had! Great food and good service. We have reserved ourselves via OpenTable and as soon as we came in, we were greeted with smiles and the hostess has inherited us back to our table. We were greeted on the way with smiles. We ordered drinks and an appetizer Fried Green Tomatoes naturally (see below). My wife ordered salmon with Spinat Tortellini, and I ordered the Porterhouse. The food was perfectly cooked. The salmon had this big gun on the outside. The steak was also great. That was an expensive meal, but we celebrated our anniversary. I think our bill was around 125, and I left a 30% tip. We're coming back!
