"I had planned a special weekend. We were going to the OSU basketball game and on the way home the plan was to slip off the highway for fine dining. The restaurant was easy to find. It is in a historic old train depot and trains rumble by at intervalso if your dinner conversation stalls you can always throw up a question about Where do you suppose that train is going? or Did you see that graffiti? But seriously, from the hostess to the waitstaff to the Owner, everyone made it a special event.The steak Delmonico is their specialty! We had shrimp cocktail and shrimp bisque then ribeye with twice baked potato, asparagus and carrots folowed by a peanut butter torte and double chocolate dipped strawberries!!! The warm bread was delivered to thetable as soon as we were seated. Loved it! I 'm already try to figure out when we can go back!!!"

Hidden Gem in Guthrie, did not even know all these years that a restaurant was even in the old train depot. The train even came through as we were having our dinner, like the restaurant had ordered that for more authentic atmosphere. I wish I had ordered the steak like my friend. We just left there and it was great. Our server Cheyenne was incredible and the food was awesome. I had a huge burger and my wife had the chicken sandwich. They were both very very good. The decor and atmosphere was top notch. We are in town for ananniversary get away and Gages came highly recommended by several locals, so we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did.

The whole experience was so good! It’s in the old Santa Fe train Depot! Brick parking lot! Trains still pass. A quiet comfortable atmosphere with a candle on the table and fancy napkin folding. The steaks was amazing quality cut and cooked to perfection. I got the Twin medallions and my husband the Ribeye. My sides was salad and julienned veggies, and his was asparagus and salad. Brianna, The server is awesome here. Giving you a great experience, at Gages Steak House. Other staff members work together makes Great memories of this Historic Place. Steak is very very good, cooked perfectly for a rib eye Steak. Fresh Salad and fresh bread. Brought it all together. With the veggies. Our first time here. Planning more visits. Check this out. The Historic Train Depot, Guthrie Oklahoma. It was great talking with the manager. She shared information about activities at the Gages throughout the week.

The food here is suspiciously good. Can't recommend it enough. I ordered the chicken fried steak and honestly it has changed the way I think about food. Not a lot of things in life offer surprises at my age but this restaurant made me reconsider things. Guthrie is not a convenient location for most people but this place is worth the drive. If there is a line, wait. If you can't get reservations, try again. If you don't have enough money, ask to do dishes. Gages is absolutely the best food I've ever had in Oklahoma. Treat yourself.
