"There was another couple seated near us, which I'll explain later. Our cocktails from the happy hour menu were quite good, and my son enjoyed his Shirley Temple. We ordered two sliders and some fries for him, which were also from the happy hour menu. However, my son wasn't provided with any crayons or activities that restaurants typically offer to children. Interestingly, when another group with two kids arrived later, they were given various toys and games to keep the kids occupied. While my toddler had his iPad, that hasn't stopped other restaurants from offering similar items to our child. I had initially wanted to order the lobster as my main dish, but when I asked Andrew about its size, he informed me that it was only available as a small appetizer. So, my husband ordered that for me along with an entree. Later, we overheard another waitress telling the family with kids that the chef was offering the lobster roll as a main dish with more lobster for just a small upcharge. We found it odd that we were never told about that option, especially since we had inquired. The lobster roll itself was delightful, but I regret not being informed of that choice; I wouldn’t have ordered the steak entree, which was unfortunately not very appetizing. I ordered it medium rare, but it arrived more like medium well. My son’s sliders were okay, and his fries were good. My husband ordered the Chauncey chicken with risotto since our son loves risotto, and he found it to be just okay as well. Overall, the service was lackluster, the food was mediocre, and we felt somewhat snubbed. I overheard the man at the table next to us say that his octopus lacked flavor and that his steak had not been prepared to his liking, which mirrored our own experience. We spent nearly $200 on our meal and didn't feel like we were treated well. I would give this place a 2/5 and cannot recommend it."

We love this place. The happy hour menu rocks. I think I usually get one of each item on the list. The wines are so great too. More than anything... the atmosphere and service.

This is definitely our favorite restaurant. They offer a fantastic lunch menu—$25 for a three-course meal that includes a beverage. Everything on the menu is exquisite. Although I'm not vegan and usually don't enjoy tomato soup, the Vegan tortilla soup has become my favorite! The chef is incredible, and the staff is very friendly. View menu

I came here by accident, passing by and was not disappointed it was phenomenal! Hostess Chancey was caring and attentive throughout.. owner Isaac is a consummate restaurateur who doesn't hesitate to give personal service. I was so impressed with the food the first time, I came back again the next day for dinner had the short ribs. Wow.

Ordered the green chile macaroni and cheese with black truffle breadcrumbs for delivery and it was a handful of bites wallowing in the bottom of the container without green chile or breadcrumbs. The cheese sauce was good, such as it is, but $15 for a small portion of noodles in cheese, and something that was in no way the item on the menu, made for a pretty garbage dinner.

Our Favorite Restaurant! We absolutely love Chef Isaac and his wife, Manager Chancey! The rest of the staff is just as friendly and helpful. We always feel like family here! The contemporary decor is lovely, and we really enjoy the creative menu. Some of my favorites include the ceviche, grilled pork chops, burgers, steak, and truffle fries. You definitely need to check it out! View menu

Gourmando gives you a full eating experience from food, ambiance, and hospitality! The chef owns the place and always delivers flavorful and mouthwatering delicacies ‍ I started coming here about a year ago and it is one of the best brunch places on the west side AND best spot for dinner with a loved one! One of the most enticing aspects of this place is Chancey! She is one of the most loving, friendly, and humorous person I ever met! She makes the place feel like home! Love Gourmando!

This restaurant and staff was absolutely amazing. I hosted a birthday brunch here with 40 people (with reservation , and they accommodated all of us. Chancey (I believe she's the manager? helped me plan the entire thing, helped customize menus, printed individual menus, and the staff even decorated the room in my favorite color, with balloons and all! I can't say anything better about this restaurant. It's a cozy, yet spacious place. The food was also wonderful, I wish I took pictures but I was so caught up in the fun I was having. The favorites of my party and I were the chicken and waffles, and the Shrimp PO boy. Also, all the food is priced very fairly! There were also $20 bottomless mimo...

"Haven't been to Spago since their facelift and I'm so happy some things never change. Spago is still the overall number one restaurant in all of Los Angeles. First, the ambiance: The new look is updated but not overdone and the feeling in the dining room and the garden is still very much warm, cozy and elegant. The Food: Pure perfection from start to finish!! We opted to go with the tasting menu $240 per person) along with some choice wines throughout the meal a full wine pairing is also available). Every single item in the tasting menu ranged from very good to amazing. The fact that this kitchen crew can execute a regular a-la-carte menu, along with a separate tasting menu to such perfection of timing and most importantly look and flavor is quite impressive. Favorites were the Gazpacho, Halibut, and Veal but everything else was absolutely delicious!! The tasting menu is extensive and for most people would be enough but not for us!! So added the ridiculously amazing bread box, a side of what can only be described as the best mashed potatoes you will ever have, and a chocolate soufflé....why you ask...jest because The service: Our server Gerhardt and the Sommelier Devin were superstars, as well as the team around them. Service pace was perfect and the wines recommended by Devin were excellent Gruner Veltliner, Rioja, Riesling). GREAT JOB!!!"
