"I live 3 1/2 hours away and would gladly make the drive again to eat here. The atmosphere reminds me of Paris. Warm red walls. Fresh roses. Real candles. I really like the attention to detail. The meal began with hot bread and a generous portion of butter and dipping oil. I REALLY wanted to get a second order but had to save room for the rest of the meal. I would come here for just the bread. Then the mussels, crab cakes and seafood chowder came out. The fish bites were soft and melted in my mouth. An excellent start. The crab cakes were pretty good but I wish they were a little bigger. Then I had a taste of the mussels. Wow. I have never devoured mussels that fast in my life! The butter sauce was amazing.Time for the main course. The filet mignon was the best I had in my life. The best cuts are ones that the knife just touches the meat and it falls apart. Medium rare. I also had the porterhouse but out of the two, order the filet. The spinach and mashed potatoes complimented the main course very well. The creme brulee had a nice coating on top and is always the perfect way to end the meal.A mom and her son provided good company to talk to as she offered us some of her gnocchi! Who does that! Plus you get a hand written bill written on a black paper! A personalized touch!I will be coming back again later this year!"

Absolutely amazing One of the best places I've eaten in a long time. Compared to many of the 4 and 5 star places I've been it rates well.

The food is outstanding….beautifully prepared. A small menu but it covers all the bases. The service was great. I don’t often eat out; this restaurant is worth every nickel. View menu

Had a fantastic birthday dinner here. Everything was delicious: the fresh bread with butter and olive tapenade, the pate appetizer, the entrees with seasonal ramps and fiddleheads, and the desserts. Cozy space and excellent waitstaff.

Just fantastic! Every item is sensational. The small wine list is very original and compelling. The ambience is intimate. The service is superb. It’s not inexpensive but it’s worth every penny. Michael Angelo is a master chef, without the fanfare. A diamond in the rough, and we hope it stays that way!

A true hidden gem in western Massachusetts. We came from Boston for a ski trip and inadvertently found the place searching for a good warm dinner after a cold day. Simply put, the place delivered all our expectations and beyond. Great food, awesome service and cozy environment. I completely recommend this place and will definitely be coming back. View menu

This is hands down the best restaurant in western Mass. We went last Thursday and got a table with almost no advanced notice (amazing luck! and every single thing we ordered was unbelievable. The service was fantastic, it wasn’t unreasonably priced for such beautiful food, the whole experience was amazing. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone. Thanks!!

Fabulous! There are not enough stars to rate this restaurant! I took my family here last night. Our waitress was so accommodating with my 18 month old granddaughter as she kindly served us. Each dish was absolutely delicious. I had the Risotto and my daughter had the Mahi Mahi, superbly seasoned. She said it was the best Mahi Mahi she has ever had. All the dishes had flavors that delicately blended together, just wonderful! We definitely will come back.

"However, I would rate it more like three stars at most for a few reasons: this is not really a hotel, so don’t expect the same value you would find at a typical hotel. The staff is friendly, but they lack professionalism. You will definitely pay a premium here. If you're mainly drawn by the views and the environment, then this is perfect for you. The rooms maintain much of their original decor, and they serve tea every afternoon, though it lacks the traditional tea sandwiches. Remember, this is not Windsor Castle—it's an old mansion in the USA. While sharing bathrooms at $400 a night can be acceptable, not having your room cleaned, dealing with unkempt shared bathrooms, and experiencing outdated plumbing is not. It's evident that the money is being funneled into maintaining the farm and the potentially expensive upkeep of the mansion. They do provide some local cheese as a welcome gift, along with a poem and candy for the night, which is a nice touch but does not make up for the other issues. That said, the beauty of the place makes it worth staying for a night or two if you're willing to compromise and know what to expect. If your budget allows, I recommend splurging for a room with an en-suite bathroom, even if it costs $600 a night—treat yourself to a weekend in this amazing location, but don’t expect hotel-like amenities for that price. And by the way, bring your own drinks because the bar closes at 9 PM! Mostly an older crowd here, so don’t come expecting nightlife."
