"Been wanting to try this place for awhile. Food 5/5Delicious fries Haida special hot). The sandwich was good to share between 2 people. Service 3/5The lady helping us had a bit of an impatient attitude and wasn't the most friendly but oh well.. it's a casual, sandwich shop. They charge a fee for paying with card credit or debit) which we were not notified of! Ambiance 3/5Nothing crazy.. very average seating.. it was a cold night when we dined in and the door was completely open so the place was freezing! Thankfully they let us close the door.Price 4/5Some of the prices were really high I.e. Mexican corn $10) or chips cheese $16)!! Overall I'd come here again if I'm in the area and looking for good food!"

The nostalgic part was not the taste of the sandwiches and pizzas. They were not similar to original at all. The only nostalgic part was the attitude of the lady behind the register. Also they were out of items that we drove 2 hours to have them.Food: 3/5

I can't believe i paid $78 dollars for 3 sandwiches. Their prices are not match with their menu at all. He over charged me without letting me know. Even if he charged $20 dollars for a sandwich still I don't know about the rest. Wont come back and don't recommend it View menu

The customer service at this restaurant was absolutely exceptional. Artemis, the girl who helped us, went above and beyond with her kindness and friendliness. The food, specifically the motley sandwich and beef tongue, was outstanding. We will definitely be returning. Thank you from Nare and Flora.

1000% sure this is NOT haida and in no whatsoever way represent haida brand! If anything, its a disgrace to Haida… They say pictures speak louder than words! So here I have attached a photo of their cheese/sausage sandwich!! For thos whom have been to Haida in Tehran, Toronto and Vancouver, is this how Haida fills in their sandwich?! You can literally count the number of lettuce cuts…

"Akkad is only one of a few Iraqi restaurants by name, if not the only one in Los Angeles, with authentic dishes that rival the nearest enclave of Iraqi restaurants in San Diego. You'll find their parking lot in this strip mall to fit the bill for most days, and their hours to be a bit constraining. Most people seem to get their items to go, and they remain busy with mostly to go orders. You will find that they have great traditional eats like luleh (koobideh) kabob, kibbeh of all kinds, lamb quzi, foul, falafel or shawarma. I personally recommend trying a kibbeh whether the hamood one in tomato sauce (it is a special on Fridays) or the Lebanese one in yogurt sauce. Both are fantastic, although they personally don't hit as well as ones I have tried before. I would say it is about 75% there in terms of the flavor profile I was hoping for. If you come early enough and eat there, you will get some fresh Iraqi flatbread which is fantastic with a soup (like an okra stew) or with anything of the sort. Even on its own, it is nice to have such a warm served up bread that is made without preservatives. Most say this is the highlight. I think this is icing on the cake. I would say the service was quite terrible when I was here, and the wait staff didn't care to explain anything nor check on my experience. I would say this isn't the kind of place where you get good service. Rather, you just order the food and wait for it to come, and flag down the wait staff if you need anything. I would also add that the food wasn't as tasty as other Iraqi food places I have tried, but as the only real Iraqi food option in LA, I would go out of my way to support this place. I have had friends come here and enjoy the food, and the majority of reviewers seem to follow suit."
