A gorgeous view of downtown New Haven from the rooftop. Casual chic atmosphere. Limited food options worth it! Service was friendly, prompt and accurate.

I, along with 4 friends, spent a lovely evening at Hamilton Park! From beginning to end it was a fantastic experience! The decor and ambiance is very minimal and understated, yet warm and inviting. The service staff was attentive and accommodating. And...the food...was truly a culinary delight! Appetizers, entrees and desserts were all a treat! One of our best anniversary and Valentine's Day meals out yet! An amazing addition to New Haven dining scene. The food was delicious. We started with the beet salad and then moved on to clam chowder or seared scallops. Our main course was either salmon which was really good or the perfectly cooked filet mignon. For dessert we had an amazing carrot cake and a delightful chocolate cake. We also enjoyed the flight of wine that was served with this special dinner menu. The service was professional and friendly. The Ambiance was relaxing and yet surprisingly grown up.

The food and service at our first visit to HP was exceptional. From the host and bartender, to the waitstaff, we felt welcomed and had every need attended to. And the food was incredible. We shared the aged ribeye for 2, and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. We started with scallops which were perfectly seared, and the chef sent over a complimentary wedge salad. I don't care for blue cheese, but still enjoyed the salad. We also had asparagus with our steak which was excellent. The atmosphere is casual, but don't let that fool you about the caliber of the food and service.

Our first time here. Sat at a table in the bar area really nice atmosphere. The waitress was super! A little pricey. Limited menu and the portions were on the small side. Cauliflower appetizer was okay could have had a little more spice. I ordered the watermelon salad expecting it to be over greens but it was simply three rectangular wedges of watermelon with 4 small mozzarella balls sitting in a dressing. It was very tasty the mix of spices was very different but it could have used some arugula/lettuce under it. Salmon with zucchini noodles was tasty. Not much different than I could have made at home. The food and space here are amazing. They blew me away with the very first bite. I love a good bread service and theirs is a standout, I could’ve eaten a full plate of the brioche. Thankfully I exercised some self control to save room for other food. The scallop and squid appetizers were so delicious and I was blown away by the pasta. Our table shared three pastas along with duck and the meat pie. I highly recommend doing the same. Desserts are unfortunately overlooked at many restaurants these days, I mean I love ice cream as much as the next person but I appreciate a little more effort, thankfully Hamilton park’s chefs go above and beyond! Unfortunately, we had a bad experience. It was our Anniversary Dinner and it started good but ended badly. Our waitress basically forgot we existed. Brought us one drink and didn’t see her for about 20 mins. We had a few apps. The grilled octopus was very good. The meatballs were very dense. Didn’t love them. Waited for another drink. Had to find someone to get one. Then brought out our salad with 1 out of 3 dinners. We were with our young daughter. My husband was the only one with food for at a minimum of 15 minutes. The manager came over and said he would get the other meals started. Im not sure why they weren’t started already. We finally get the rest of our food after my husband is done...

We had a fabulous evening at the Hotel Blake. It is a very trendy New Haven boutique hotel.. It started with an easy welcoming valet service where we seamlessly transitioned to their awesome roof top bar call the High George. It has a great vibe, feel, and view overlooking the New Haven sky line and Yale University. We were met by happy, pleasant, and engaged staff. Our waitress Destiny was superb with her customer service skills, menu/drink knowledge, and attention to detail. She elevated our experience with her upbeat, engaging personality.
