"The sushi we received had a stale flavor, almost as if it had been stored in the refrigerator for some time. I'm not certain if they make their sushi rolls ahead of time, but that's the impression it left. The rice was overly chewy, the avocado had turned brown, and the tempura shrimp in the crunchy shrimp roll was cold on the inside. We ordered delivery, but I noticed the delivery driver left the restaurant, and we were only three blocks away. It took about five minutes from pick-up until our food arrived, which raises doubts about its freshness."

The sauce for the chicken pad Thai was good, but the dish contained mostly tofu—about 90%—and only 10% chicken.

The sauce for the chicken pad thai was satisfactory, but the dish was primarily made up of about 90% tofu and only 10% chicken.

One of the worse pad Thai noodles I have ever had. Lack of flavor and cold tofu that for some reason was in it. Free egg rolls tasted worse than the cheapest frozen ones you can pick up at convince store. Very Good tea thought. I guess this is whathappens when you try to handle a very extensive menu with different kind of cuisines View menu

I had one of the worst pad Thai dishes I've ever encountered. It was bland, and the cold tofu only made it worse. The complimentary egg rolls were even more disappointing, tasting worse than the cheapest frozen ones you can grab at a convenience store. On a brighter note, the tea was quite enjoyable. I guess this is the result of attempting to manage an overly extensive menu with a wide range of cuisines.

This restaurant offers a charming atmosphere and plenty of seating. The owner is very warm and inviting, and the food is fantastic. The wonton soup was made to perfection, free from any strange flavors or too much grease, which is a welcome change from some other spots. The sushi roll we ordered was made entirely with fresh raw fish. The sesame chicken was excellently breaded and not greasy whatsoever. I will definitely return!

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
