"Among the many Honest locations in the DFW area, this is so far the only one that has decent food. We ordered Pav Bhaji, Idli, Aloo Puri, Chole Bhature, Baahubali Sanwich, Dahi puri, and Mango Lassi. The sandwiches are amazing here. They are very fresh, not soggy, and have just the right amount of spice. We always love it. This time the bread was a little dry, and there was no spice. The aloo puri was very good, the aloo subji tasted exceptional. It?s a great dish for kids, and isn?t too spicy for them. The Chole on the other hand was terrible. The bhature were fine, but the Chole wasn?t. There was absolutely no salt, no spice, and extremely bland. Similarly with the Bhaji for the Pav Bhaji, which tasted better than the Chole. The dahi puri (not pictured) was by far the best dish of all of them. It was spicy, sweet, and tangy all at the same time. The flavors coming in from the combination is worth paying the exuberant amount. The idlis were good, no complaints there. The quality has definitely gone down from last year which is disappointing since this is one of my favorite restaurants to go to. Hope they improve once again. Definitely worth a visit."

Honestly, the food is awesome. A bit pricy but really yummy Indian food. We had Pav Bhaji. The quantity was good and the Bhaji consistency is really nice. Not watery. My personal favorite is dinner Punjabi thali. Completely fulfilling. The grilled sandwich is really nice.

I recently had the chance to try out this restaurant. Ever since I moved to McKinney, I've had a hard time finding ethnic restaurants with tasty vegetarian options. This restaurant exceeded my expectations. I got my food to go and I suggest calling in your order to avoid a 20-minute wait.

While the restaurant may draw you in with its name and nostalgic charm, the taste of the food is lacking. The dishes are average at best. There are plenty of other restaurants in Frisco that serve much better Indian vegetarian cuisine. However, the ambience is pleasant and the service is excellent.

Dahi Puri was yummy! Very busy restaurant so that is how you know the food is good. Extremely fast service, the food was brought out to us one by one as it was prepared minutes after ordering. The staff was friendly and the food was reasonably priced. Lots to choose from their vegetarian menu. No outdoor seating. View menu

We ordered a large amount of food and didn't regret it. The staff is knowledgeable about vegan options, but it's still worth mentioning your preferences. We tried the dry manchurian (a must-try), a masala dosa ( tasty and traditional), mix veg uttapam (fantastic), pani puri (such a fun experience), and a veg curry. This was my friend's first time trying this type of Indian cuisine and he was very impressed. We would definitely come back again.

Hands down the best dosa experience our family has had. The ambiance, cleanliness and atmosphere was awesome. A very lively and bumpy place. The place was so busy but amazingly the food comes out quick every time. Your greeted with a smile and leave with a bigger one. I discovered this place with the Mrs. and bright my kids two days later. Gotta try the PK Paneer king and their mango lassi is the best I?ve had. It?s gonna be tough passing this place up to go somewhere else for the dosa scene now.

I came to this restaurant for dinner based on a friend's recommendation. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the bhel puri, vada pav, and pav bhaji. We ordered a lot of different dishes and most of them were excellent. The atmosphere was pleasant, the tables were clean, and the staff were friendly, except for the person who served us the chat items at the table. The dabanga dosa and cheese masala dosas were particularly delicious. We also enjoyed the sweet pan, although they only had one available. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant. Interesting concept with good food! As you walk in, you are greeted with warm decor reminding you of local Indian cuisines. The kitchen is visible and so is the honest commitment of the restaurant owner to use good quality foods and serve their customers. We ordered a few items to get a variety of tastings, but our favorite was the chat items: Dahi puri, Raj Kachori, and vada pav The bahubali sandwich was overwhelming with the ?processed cheese? toppings most commonly used in India. And the dosa Dabang rolls were interesting as well. Overall good food, it we will be back for the chat!

I recently tried out this Indian restaurant in DFW with my family and was impressed by their efficient and effective service. Most of the dishes we ordered were great, although we didn't particularly enjoy the paneer dosa or the pineapple fresh juice (which was actually a carbonated drink). Our favorites included the dabaang dosa, kattapa sandwich, dahi puri, and fresh sugarcane juice. The only thing missing was some background music to enhance the dining experience. Overall, the food was delicious and exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning to try more of their delicious dishes.

"Our family has been ordering home delivery from this 54th Street location for over a year now and we have never had an issue with delivered food. My kids love the street kid burgers and waffle fries. Other household favorites include the burgers, steaks, gyro, and gringo dip. We've eaten at location twice. The location is about what you would expect from current day sports leaning bars. Lots of TVs, especially around the bar, an eclectic mix of memorabilia on the walls, and Americana leaning music, mostly country and classic Rock with the random top 40 from fifteen years ago mixed in.The first time the service was good. There was a slight mix up when our steak came out and I received another customer's well done steak, and he received my medium steak. The server noticed the mix up immediately and took both steaks back immediately. We were a few tables apart under the same server in the same section. Mistakes happen, the steak was re made, and it turned out tasty. Slight inconvenience but overall the food was good, service was excellent, and there was nothing to complain about. The manager came by and apologized all over himself, but we assured him everything was okay, that it was just a mistake, etc. We were not unhappy at all and the manager was very apologetic. Our must recent trip we were seated under a very attentive server. She took our order promptly, made sure we always had drinks more than half full on the table, and was very quick to remedy any minor issues. Unfortunately the quality of the steak on this trip was just not good. I'm not sure if the restaurant has made any alterations to the recipes being used to prep meat in the kitchen, but there was an overwhelming, unpleasant smoke flavor to the steak. I hesitated to send the steak back, but the server insisted another steak be cooked. I do not like to send food back, I apologized for inconveniencing her and the kitchen, but the smoke flavor was so overwhelming the steak was really inedible. When the steak was replaced it was cooked closer to order temperature and the flavor was a little less smokey, but still undesirably strong. It was good enough to eat most of and we took the leftovers home. After warming the remainder to eat at home it was quite rare on the end that was left uneaten in the restaurant. The steak was ordered medium and after reheating at home there were dark red areas in the middle of the steak. The overall texture was also not great, nearly like it was steamed and the sear was non existent. The server was, again, awesome. She apologized, informed the manager, discussed a course of action with the kitchen, and did her best to make it right. But at the end of the day the steak was just disappointing. I had hoped the manager would stop by so I could ask what changed regarding the steak preparation, but at no point did he stop by our table. Gringo dip was still great, my husband enjoyed his gyro, but the steak was a giant disappointment.Overall, despite the great service, the food being sub par at a restaurant (and in this economy) makes me think we should try another local steak and burger joint. : sad to say because we had really grown to like this place."

"For our anniversary dinner, which we had booked weeks in advance, we were seated at a cramped and noisy bar table. The only acknowledgment of our special occasion came from the host. We ordered the market price for a pound of crab, only to find that I received perhaps three ounces of meat from a single claw. Their response to our dissatisfaction was a mere $25 refund. I've never felt so disregarded, even at chain restaurants. My husband and I enjoy discovering new places to celebrate our anniversary, and we'd been eager to try Urban Grill. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we found our reservation table was a small bar top for two, which I dislike, especially on such an occasion. Despite this setback, we tried to make the best of it. The host acknowledged our anniversary, but that was the last notable gesture. Our server Debra was friendly and attentive, and the food was indeed good. My husband enjoyed the lamb and the "little piggy" drink. I ordered the surf and turf, featuring filet and Alaskan king crab. While the filet was excellent and perfectly cooked, the crab was disappointing—just one long claw with maybe 2-3 ounces of meat. The sides were delicious, and we enjoyed the apple fritters and crème brûlée as well. However, when we received the bill, my surf and turf cost $105. The filet itself was listed at around $39, meaning we paid over $60 for a meager amount of king crab. For the same price elsewhere, I've had far larger portions. The market price for crab is listed at $69.99 for a full serving, so it felt like we were charged an excessive markup. In summary, while the food was tasty, the steep prices, uncomfortable seating, and lack of meaningful acknowledgment for our anniversary left us unimpressed. Unfortunately, due to these factors, we won’t be returning."
