"This Father's Day was planned to spend time with my mother, and it turned out to be a perfect day for it. When we arrived, the restaurant was quite busy. There wasn't a wait, but one of the staff members attempted to seat us at a very small table, which we definitely weren't going to accept. Fortunately, we managed to snag one of the few medium-sized tables available. Our server came to us quickly, and I ordered the classic burger platter with bacon, which included the French fries I had been craving. My mother chose the bacon temptation omelet, featuring hickory smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, and a white cheese sauce. The burger was fresh, though not particularly large. The fries were excellent as well. My mother noted that the omelet was somewhat dry, but the bacon definitely enhanced it. Our server did a fantastic job, especially considering how busy it was today. Overall, it was a positive dining experience."

This is one of the nicer IHOPs I've seen. We went for brunch on a weekday. The restaurant wasn't too crowded, and the service was fairly quick.

Must have been my lucky day because there was NOBODY in the entire restaurant. This meant a fast accurate service. And the food and the service were top notch.

It must have been my lucky day because the entire restaurant was completely empty. This resulted in quick and attentive service. Both the food and the service were exceptional.

The food was delicious and served hot. I appreciated how they covered the mashed potatoes to keep them warm. The bread was toasted to perfection. Overall, it was an A+ experience!

The 16oz juice felt a bit small for my liking. The grits could have been creamier as well. When I ordered pancakes, they only provided one container of syrup. Aside from those points, everything else was up to my expectations.

My first experience at this bustling IHOP was fantastic. The food met the dependable quality I’ve come to expect from IHOP, and the restaurant appeared clean and well-maintained. The staff managed the large number of customers efficiently, and my server, Lynne, was one of the best I've encountered in any restaurant. I definitely plan to return.

"This place really helped me adjust. I later learned that people gravitate towards certain bars, and I found my favorites, especially those with live music like Birchmere, Black Cat, 9:30 Club, Lincoln, Capital One Arena, and even the now-closed O'Shaughnessy's and Rock & Roll Hotel. One of my most memorable experiences was running into Rory Sheridan on one of my first visits. He was launching his DC music campaign back then and was part of Loud Boyz. We chatted a few times, and I even caught up with some old classmates. Another highlight was when I heard about a “reunion” night before Thanksgiving, and I decided to crash it. There were moments where people could be unkind or I felt out of place, but I was given some guidance on where I would fit in better, without the unnecessary drama. Being in Old Town, I was familiar with nearby schools like West Potomac, Mount Vernon, and Bishop Ireton. During my visits, I would often take an Alexandria cab or use Metro Access, being discreet about my disability since I felt embarrassed at times. Being a regular meant navigating the tourist scene, and there were people who seemed territorial about the place, but I ended up doing quite well when I sold my house. Good times continued with events like watching RG3 play for the Redskins or meetups organized by JT. I enjoyed New Year’s celebrations and weekend outings. I also frequented other establishments like Flying Fish before it closed, and O'Shaughnessy's before I decided to stop drinking. This is a sports bar located near a bicycle shop, close to the Ben & Jerry's I used to work at, along with many other walkable bars for bar hopping, like Union Street Pub and Fish Market. It can be a great place to have fun, but with the good comes some downsides. Overall, I felt well-hosted and respected here, despite some things I was not initially aware of or didn’t want to uncover."

"My friends and I went to Cheesetique for restaurant week. We sat outside. The space was great, the weather was great. Upon arrival, it took a server about 15 minutes to come to our table, and that was only after a friend went inside to ask for someone to service us. The server who had served our friends, who had arrived 10 minutes prior, was bartending. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. The drinks came out relatively soon after. The food took a normal amount of time to come out of the kitchen. We got the watermelon, quinoa salad and truffle balls as apps. There was no dressing with the salad, just spinach leaves, watermelon, and quinoa. It was very basic. The truffle balls, although good, were balls of cheese. They gave huge cheese balls but only 3 tiny pieces of bread. We ordered a Mac and cheese for the table which was not salted very well at all. For the main course, we ordered gnocchi, pot pie, and braised beef. The beef and mashed potatoes were the best. The pot poe and gnocchi were not nearly salted enough. All the food came out 'warm ' at best. Dessert was fine. Overall, not at all worth the amount we paid for restaurant week. We were left disappointed. The service was slow. I do understand they might have been short staffed, but even waitresses who were not our servers looked as us, after being there for 15 min and walked past. We asked someone to get us water, which was never brought to us, so overall, disappointed in our dining experience, considering how much we paid."
