"We visited Deer Harbor for several days. We first went to Island Pie on a Wednesday. It was very busy and the service showed that it was. No real coordination on how to manage a busy restaurant. The owner chose to mostly visit with locals while the tourist majority were slightly ignored. Our server that evening was Greysee and she worked so hard that night while the rest of the staff leisurely went about not really doing much because there was no organization coming from the top. We came back Saturday night as the pizza is really good although extraordinarily expensive as islands are, but sat at our table for a long time early in the evening before they were busy and not even brought water. The owner was maybe 10 feet away talking to locals for a very long time about so and so who passed away and other restaurants in Olga Bay and how the tourists are such a pain. Even the self proclaimed locals at the next table apologized to us because we had to hear the complaints about tourists while we still hadn?t even been served water in the blazing sun after at least 15 min. They were embarrassed. The island clearly depends on tourists during the summer as the local who the owner was talking to even said how the island environment allows them to hibernate in winter as nature intended. We finally got our order taken and served but you could easily see the locals were favored. There really isn?t much except scenery in Deer Harbor (no hiking, no shops) so if you?re a boater as we are you might want to hit up Lopez or San Juan. They make a normal effort at minimum in their customer service, usually more. Seems like Orcas doesn?t need or want us. At least in Deer Harbor."

We went for dinner after whale watching with a group of 8. The pizzas were delicious and the service was very friendly. We ordered 4 pizzas and a couple of appetizers for the entire table, which was more than enough. It's a fantastic spot to visit if you're at the marina.

This place is amazing. The pizza was delicious! The lady that brought the pizza was super sweet. I imagine she was the owner as she knew a lot about the pizza, and seemed very passionate about how it was made. We got the seasonal squash pizza. Also the chocolate pis dessert we got was amazing too!

I had a great time at this restaurant yesterday. The staff was extremely friendly, especially our server Skye, who was enjoyable to talk to about her ambitions for further education and travel. The food was the best we've had on the island. I highly recommend trying the Spring rolls, as they were absolutely delicious.

Island Pie has the best pepperoni pizza on the island AND the best squash pizza you'll find anywhere in the world! Above all this is the service delivered by the owner. You will meet her at the door and at your table as you begin to enjoy the rest ofthe dinning experience. I'm going back to Orcas Island next year in a large part to get another meal at ISLAND PIE. This is one of my top choices for dining! The owners, a lovely couple, create a warm and inviting dining atmosphere. My husband and I have made several day trips from Seattle just to come here, where we can enjoy watching the boats in the marina while sipping on wine and indulging in delicious pizza. I highly recommend the seasonal squash dish in the fall, it disappeared from our table almost instantly!

Pretty disappointing. I suggest picking up a frozen pizza-breadsticks, they will be so much better. Our glass of wine had probably been open for a week. And the garlic rolls were pretty lack luster. Not cooked through and simply not edible. There is a clear lack of passion and skill with the owner/manager. I felt sorry for the employees- with no quality leadership. I?m sure there will be a response saying how sorry they are but continue to not make any considerable changes.

This place is fantastic (I honestly don 't understand the unfairly low ish 3.9 stars rating it currently has). Pizzas are so tasty: we tried Americas favorite with pepperoni and cheese and it was delicious. The dough is made in house and is so freshit melts in your mouth. Garlic knots were delicious as well. The service is incredibly friendly and fast. They have universitystudents interning/working during summer along with the owner which is a wonderful way to create opportunities and engage thecommunity. The ambience is welcoming with music playing in the background and magnificent views from the terrace you don 'twant to leave this place (we lingered on the terrace for a while after finish... "The positives The house keeper was kind and helpful. Brisket, fried chicken, brocolini and Lopez island ice cream were super tastey. The negatives The bed was so horrible my husband and I slept on a pile of blankets on the floor the first night. The subsequent nights he slept on a futon and I on an air mattress....not very hotel like if you ask me. The private hot tub we paid a pretty penny for was not cleaned or chlorinated the entire 5 days of our stay which made it impossible to use. When we asked for a chlorine tablet we were told a service comes every other day (never came) but we were told we could pour some bleach in, by housekeeping. ALL of the provided dishes required washing before we could even use a glass, plate or frying pan. If you use both stove burners at the same time the electrical breaker pops and you lose power to half the room. The electrical outlets are so lose they wont hold a plug unless you are willing to purposefully damage your end. People running power tools and doing yard maintenance early in the morning. None of the windows locked. The vacasa website listed that the room had cable tv, it didn't. The restaurant on property is only open Friday Sunday 4 8pm. 90% of the businesses and restaurants are this way, So don't plan on being hungry if you stay on a weekday. When the restaurant was open on friday the diners were taking up the parking for paying hotel guests to the point that we had to ask someone to move so we could access our trunk. Had we left our room for any reason, we would have had to park off property when we got back. The food was decent except for the cobbler looked a bit off and tasted alcoholic. Solar flood light aimed directly at the front window shines inside all night, even with the drapes closed. The water was so bad my dog wouldn't even drink it, and she has no problem drinking from the toilet at home.Go elsewhere and save your 265 a night."
