"I recently visited Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, and I have to say it was a fantastic experience. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients really come through in their ice cream. I tried a waffle cone with dark chocolate ice cream, and it was simply exquisite. The dark chocolate ice cream was bold and rich in flavor, making it a perfect choice for chocolate lovers like myself. The smooth and creamy texture of the ice cream paired perfectly with the dark chocolate. The waffle cone was also a standout, with a delicate crispness that added a satisfying crunch to every bite. The combination of the dark chocolate ice cream and the waffle cone created a perfect balance of flavors and textures that made the experience unforgettable. My visit to Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend trying their offerings. It's an experience that will leave you satisfied and craving more."

Vegan ice (this is not sorbet) is hard to get from IMO. You usually have a handful of aromas, all are delicious, and you can em in a cone!

In my opinion, finding vegan ice cream that isn't sorbet can be difficult. However, this restaurant offers a variety of delicious flavors that can be enjoyed in a cone. View menu

I really love their ice cream flavors. It was nice that they did not make me feel bad for trying a couple. I loved the goat cheese ice cream as well as the lavender. And several others.

I tried the coffee and the wildberry lavender at this restaurant. The coffee made with Intelligentsia beans was one of the best I've ever had. Although the prices are a bit high for the small portions, it's definitely worth a try. View menu

Delicious ice cream and friendly service! You can try as many samples as you wish guilt free, as they don’t use plastic spoons! I had the brambleberry crisp and it was a perfect blend of berry flavor and crust!! My favorite though is the Brown Butter Almond Brittle. You must try their waffle cones… they are buttery and delicious!! Some of the best ice cream I’ve had in a long time! Pricey but good quality.

I visited the restaurant yesterday and the vegan dessert options available were lemon bars, Texas sheet cake, and a coffee flavor. I decided to try the chocolate cake flavor and coffee served in a sugar cone. Although the coffee flavor had a high water content resulting in a less creamy texture, the flavor was excellent and paired well with the rich chocolate. The prices were on the higher side, but overall it was a nice indulgence.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
