The outdoor dining experience is spacious, and the personalized social distancing measures are effective. The food is, as always, incredible.

The food was amazing!!! Our server, Katherine was very knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations. We had appetizers, main dishes and desert. I would totally recommend the scallop curry and crab fried rice. Everything we had was exquisite.

This was a fantastic meal. Large portions meant for sharing were great. The flower dumplings were incredibly eye-catching and equally delicious. This restaurant truly gives you a taste of Thailand. The food is amazing, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Just a heads-up, the dishes can be a bit spicy, but there are quite a few options available. The ambiance is fairly traditional, though it does come off as a bit messy and could use some improvement. Additionally, I find the prices to be on the higher side considering what you get. For these reasons, I would rate it 4 stars.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. As adventurous eaters, my girlfriend and I chose to let our waitress, Kelly, take the lead, and she did an incredible job creating a wonderful dining experience for us. While the prices might seem high at first, considering the generous portion sizes meant for sharing, along with the high-quality ingredients and delicious flavors, they are quite reasonable. This is a great place, and I would gladly return to explore more of their intriguing menu.

We ordered the massaman beef curry, the renowned crab dish they’re famous for, which was served with rice, and some stir-fried vegetables. Everything was absolutely delectable. Since our bill exceeded $100, our server kindly gave us a $30 coupon for our next visit, so we’re definitely planning to return soon with more friends! All the dishes are designed to be shared, so I highly recommend bringing along a group. One of a kind experience. We came here for my wife's birthday and she absolutely loved the food and place.The food was amazing and so was the plating. Food is a lot different than other Thai places that we have been to and this felt unique and authentic. Our server Lindsay was very helpful and did a great job with the recommendations and service. Shaw muang Chicken dumpling) was really good and delicious and does look like it is a dish made for the emperor. What surprised us the most is the Kalum tod num pa Cabbage) ..never have we ever had cabbage this delicious. We can't wait to come back and try more. It’s wonderful to have Kalaya back! The food is unique, delicious, and the portions are generous. The owner even commented on our order, saying, “that’s too much food,” and she was absolutely right. We felt very safe while dining there. You order by downloading the menu, making your selections, and then paying efficiently and securely. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Philadelphia. They don't serve water, so you need to purchase a bottle, which is another measure for safety. This might also help keep costs down, but it’s not an issue at all. Chef Chutatip “Nok” Suntaranon ensures authentic Thai flavors by not allowing any substitutions or changes in spiciness. They make the curry paste powders in house and prawns are caught straight from the rivers of Thailand Some flavors dishes were SPOT ON like the scallop curry, Khao yum tossed salad with dried shrimp fish, shrimp crab pork siu mai, stir fried cabbage.
