"I had a hard time deciding between ordering food from the Silk Elephant or Kiin Lao, but ultimately I went with the latter because of their unique Lao roots. I tried some of the food from the Bangkok Balcony menu, including the Pad Thai with tofu(spice level 0) and Thai custard with coconut sticky rice. This is without a doubt one of the best Pad Thai's I've had inPittsburgh. The portion is huge, especially comparing it to some of the places I've tried in Edgewood. Probably enough for 2meals for most people. There was more than plenty of tofu in this pad Thai, but you did have to pay extra for it and the priceis a bit on the high side (depending on which online ordering platform you use). There were loads of peanuts in here, and youcould actually taste them and feel their crunch (unlike in many other places). You can also taste and see the egg, which Ireally enjoyed. Plus the bean sprouts were so fresh and crispy, and the food was still hot when it arrived to my house. Theirsauce is flavorful and delicious. The Pad Thai isn't saucy but not dry either. More generous with sauce than some Thai spots, but I'd still want a little more (I love saucy Pad Thai). Then, I tried their Thai custard. It was very tasty. Also, it had anunique and visually appealing color scheme: black rice with green custard. The rice was sticky (as it should be) and the custardwas sweet and comforting. I love how they served the coconut milk on the side! I drank some of it before pouring it over thecustard, and wow, it's fantastic. A touch of saltiness, some sweetness, creamy, and just amazing. Great final touch to thisdish. All in all, I would definitely recommend Kiin Lao/Bangkok Balcony for their Thai food, and their Lao food soundsincredible as well. The Pad Thai was served in a huge portion and it was delicious. The Thai custard was also excellent."

Pho Lao with Tofu was very delicious. My family had Thai with chicken and lemon grass noodles with chicken. You can choose spice level for any dish. Restaurant is upstairs, 2nd floor. We climbed a staircase without elevator option.

We were surprised with how delicious each of our 3 entrees were! We ordered the garlic noodles, lemongrass noodles and green curry and they were all very flavorful. The green curry and the fried chicken on the garlic noodles were favorites! Most of thedishes seemed like they could be made vegetarian too.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious and the cocktails were equally excellent. My wife and I had dinner here and ordered Sai oua, naem khao, and new kathi with shrimp - everything was amazing. We also tried the smoke my soul cocktail, which was great. We didn't try anything from the Thai menu, but we will definitely be returning to try it out. A must-visit place! View menu

Kiin is a local casual restaurant that serves Thai and Lao food. Prices are reasonable. The employees are very nice, and they perform their jobs well. I really like the colorful interior design of the restaurant. During my recent lunch, I really enjoyedthe flavors of my curry puffs, green curry with chicken, and honeydew bubble tea. Please note that the restaurant is located onthe second floor of the building, and finding a parking spot in the city can be challenging.

great food and service. the price is reasonable comparing to the portion. i had papaya combo. the sticky rice is cooked well. ping kai is very tasty, a bit salty but super yummy when eating with sticky rice and papaya salad. i ordered spice level 8 outof 10 but it is not spicy at all. maybe it's just me. it was really warm during the sunny day to sit by the window. therestaurant is on the 2nd floor and you have to take the stairs to get in no ramp or elevator for wheelchairs.
