"I recently visited the King and I with a friend and was pleasantly surprised by the food, atmosphere, and the welcoming family team that served us. I ordered the orange curry, also known as massamum curry, and it was delicious. The service was exceptional and the prices were very reasonable. The team was accommodating, seating us near closing time and allowing us to stay late. The service was quick, attentive, and deserving of five stars. I recommend this restaurant for those unsure about spice levels as the servers are able to explain the different dishes. In my opinion, this is the best Thai food in Boston and I will definitely be returning. The only downside is that they close at 8:30 p.m. on weekdays, I wish they stayed open later."

I believe they still serve meat, which raises some concerns.

Beautiful cozy place. The Thai ice coffee and the green curry is delicious.

I tried the tofu massaman curry and it was absolutely delicious! The majority of the curry dishes are vegan with tofu. View menu

The best kept gem of beacon hill. Delicious food that is good quality. Staff are very friendly. I’ve only done take-out with them so far and I have no complaints. Absolutely great. The mango salad, coconut soup, and mango sticky rice are amazing

Food is great, always consistent!! Typically ready in 20min or less so its a great eat if you are in a hurry or want to grab something to quickly bring home. Only issue is sometimes finding a place to park, but it is Beacon Hill so it's to be expected. View menu

I recently moved into the neighborhood and decided to try this restaurant for the first time this afternoon. It was a big mistake not coming sooner... The pad thai was delicious, although it wasn't as spicy as I would have liked. Thankfully, they provided me with some chili flakes to add the extra kick. I would definitely recommend this place and will be returning for more. I will continue to update my experience over time.

The curried puff and crab rangoon appetizers were exceptional, I would give them a 10/10! The mee nam with chicken was also delicious and perfect for a cold and rainy night. The portion size was generous, so I took half of it home to enjoy the next day. The Thai iced tea was also delicious. The atmosphere was quiet, low-key, and cozy. The service was outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff who served the food quickly.

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
