"I had dinner at this restaurant with my brother, and the highlight of the experience was definitely spending time with him. I ordered the potato soup and a chicken, bacon, and cheese sandwich. Unfortunately, both the soup and the sandwich were served cold. The soup was particularly disappointing, as it didn't even melt the cheese on top. I wasn't a fan of the seasoning on the chicken either. The sandwich was also cold. On a positive note, the chocolate chip cookie was delicious, boasting a lovely flavor and generous chunks of chocolate. The staff were friendly and pleasant throughout our visit."

Most of the time coffee not hot. Often have to ask them to make more coffee either it's cold or empty.

Quiche florentine was good, crust was very flakey. Tomato soup was good but grilled cheese was just okay.

I absolutely adore this place! It has such a charming and nostalgic ambience, and the food is incredibly delicious. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Make sure to try the strawberries romanoff, they are my favorite. View menu

I enjoyed a fantastic brunch at this restaurant today! The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, and the food was tasty. I highly recommend trying their French onion soup. I can’t wait to come back and dine here again soon!

Check all to go orders. They always mess my orders up. Get your employees trained right. After 2 months of avoiding la Madeline, we went on Friday night. Food was missing again, sandwiches were made wrong. I expect more when I'm paying close to $100 for 5 ppl to eat.

My husband and I have been faithful customers of La Madeline in Ridglea since it opened in the early 1990s. Recently, however, we've noticed a considerable drop in both the quality of the food and the service. During our visit today, both were below our expectations. While we might still stop by for the bakery, we’re unhappy with the current state of the restaurant and won’t be dining there again unless improvements are made. View menu

We have had lunch and dinner at the Camp Bowie location since it was started. But after the Covid issue this place has deteriorated. Mike Rogers for a time was an excellent manager. But now the staff is inexperienced, not well informed about the menu and the food is mediocre at best at high prices of course. The rosemary chicken was a people pleaser but now it is no longer on the menu. On a Friday evening there were hardly any customers.

I do not recommend ordering takeout or delivery from this restaurant. I've had several experiences where my orders were incorrect. Today, I ordered the country breakfast, but the croissant was missing, and the galette was undercooked and soggy. I also ordered a crème brûlée but received a chocolate tea instead. These mix-ups seem to happen often. I suggest avoiding delivery from this restaurant altogether, as they have difficulty getting orders right.

"On my first visit, I tried the Southern Shrimp and Grits, which were simply amazing—stone-ground cheese grits topped with sautéed shrimp, enhanced by a flavorful mix of peppers and bacon. Chef Jeff and his team use fresh sirloin in their chili, and it’s absolutely delicious! The portions are generous, so you definitely won't leave hungry. The food is exceptional, and the concept behind it is truly inspiring. I now volunteer here regularly. Chef Jeff and his wife, Julie, have a mission: "Our mission is to feed, educate, and serve our community so that they may 'taste and see that the Lord is good'” (Psalm 34:8). Customers can choose to: 1) pay what they can afford, 2) pay the standard price for a similar restaurant, or 3) pay a little extra to help those who are less fortunate. This creates a beautiful and fulfilling experience. They are open for lunch from 11 AM to 2 PM, Tuesday through Sunday. If you’re pressed for time, I recommend making a reservation and letting the hostess know. Diners are seated using a "paced method" to ensure the volunteer staff isn’t overwhelmed, but any wait is certainly worth it! Be sure to try the pour-over coffee or refreshing lemonade, and sample small plates like bruschetta or farro salad, as well as main dishes such as the apple bacon sandwich, crispy potatoes, burgers, shrimp and grits, and chili. And don’t overlook the dessert—it’s indulgent! I can’t express enough how much I adore this place!"
