"Absolutely horrible service. We came with a big party and gave them a heads up before we came. We waited 20 minutes after being seated for drinks. The server was extremely nice although after getting a couple of our plates we asked our bus boy who was running the food out when the rest was coming take in mind we were just waiting for a house salad a ny strip, the other 7 of us were almost done when the other two got there food. The bus boy was extremely rude, unpleasant and very unprofessional to our family. We spent a large amount money here and were extremely disappointed by the rudeness of the staff. We would strongly recommend going to ryebelles over here we wanted to try something new but never again!"

Great location for a sunset dinner! Salads were very fresh and tasty! Main courses were average, service was adequate.

My food was tasty but not hot. My husband's food was warm but too salty. Then the wait to pay the check was too long. Disappointing.

We're thrilled to see LakeHouse open! It's an AMAZING spot to catch the sunset over Lake Michigan. You can choose to sit on the patio, savoring your meal with wine or cocktails, or enjoy the view from inside by a window. This is definitely one of our favorite dining places, and we always leave feeling rejuvenated. View menu

We waited over 20 minutes for service while two servers attended to tables next to us. I'm not going to beg for attention. The food was terrible—greasy perch, and the steak tasted like it was soaked in salt water, complete with fake grill marks. The vegetable of the day was drenched in grease, and the silverware was dirty. Overall, this was not a $105 meal!

We didn't get the full meal. None of us got our salad. I pd $24 for a chicken breast. Nothing else. That's ridiculous. The waiter only came back to our table to give us the bill. Then he rembered our refills for the drinks. Water and a club soda. We sat outside and the bees were terrible. They should take the time to spray. I came from out of state and will NOT recommend this place to anyone.

The second time, I played it safe and ordered a cheeseburger. What I received was a frozen burger patty that seemed hastily assembled. My boyfriend ordered the fish and chips, and that too tasted like a frozen meal. Seriously? We expected fresh, quality food, but instead we got something we could have easily made at home. Save yourself the disappointment and check out the local eateries by the beach in St. Joe! View menu

It was “almost” a great meal. The service was fast and helpful. The view of the lake was wonderful. Sitting at a wobbly table is always a bummer. Having incredibly inexperienced staff working to seat, take and deliver your order wasn’t expected at the price-point. It has the potential to be a stellar place. I wouldn’t consider it a good value. Everything was acceptable, but at those prices they ought to be exceptional. Kid-friendliness: Kids are allowed. I saw several eating on the patio.

Honestly had high hopes for this place. Went on a Wednesday night and it was the absolute worst steak I have ever had. The steak was over done and tough with a weird chemical taste. The pasta we ordered was watery with no flavor and raw vegetables. Service was ok but the staff is very unprofessional. Wearing sweat pants and holy shirts to serve tables. Very disappointing especially when you’re excited for a new place to open in town. Unfortunately I don’t see this place staying open long unless they make some serious changes.

"We recently visited St. Joe and were on the lookout for vegan options, and this restaurant was one of the few that had a dedicated vegan menu. Firstly, the positives: the staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We really enjoyed the vibe, which is why I’m giving it 3 stars. Now, onto the less favorable aspects. Although the restaurant has a vegan menu, I was surprised to find out that they don’t offer any plant-based milk for coffee. This felt quite unusual since even many of my meat-eating friends prefer plant milk in their coffee nowadays; it’s rare to come across a place that only serves dairy options in 2022. As for the food, we tried the vegan shepherd’s pie and the vegan curry, along with split pea soup and hummus with pita as sides. Unfortunately, I had to send the shepherd’s pie back to the kitchen because it was cold in the middle. While I enjoyed the split pea soup and found the curry quite nice, the rice that accompanied the curry was dry, and the pita served with the hummus was also cold, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, the food just didn’t quite hit the mark. Perhaps it’s because we come from an area with a wide variety of vegan choices, but despite arriving hungry, we ended up leaving more than half of our meal untouched. I usually finish my plate, but this time we didn’t even ask for a box to take our leftovers back to the Airbnb. In summary, the staff and atmosphere were wonderful, but the vegan food leaves room for improvement. I also strongly suggest they start offering plant-based milks for coffee."

"We arrived shortly after 7 p.m. and immediately overheard one of the staff engaged in a conversation filled with extremely foul language, which was quite off-putting for a first impression of a restaurant. After a few minutes, we were finally seated, but then we felt completely forgotten. It took over 40 minutes before a waitress came to take our drink order, and we quickly decided to order our food at the same time. The wait for our food was equally long, taking another 35 to 40 minutes. I ordered the Simon sandwich with french fries. Unfortunately, it was drenched in so much barbecue sauce that it soaked through the bread and made it nearly impossible to enjoy. The roast beef was stringy and tough; every bite resulted in half the filling falling out, making it hard to chew. In the past, I have ordered that sandwich dozens of times and always considered it one of the best in St. Joseph, but tonight it was barely edible. I ended up leaving a quarter of the sandwich and quite a few of the french fries on my plate. The fries were overly greasy and tasted like they had been cooked in old oil. After we placed our food order, we didn't see our waitress again, so there were no drink refills, and we weren't even asked if we wanted dessert. This was certainly not the experience I wanted my friend to have at a restaurant I used to cherish. I have no plans to return anytime soon."
