"Love, Love, Love this place. Great service. Amazing Food. Beautiful Ambience. We took my daughter for her 17th birthday and she wanted some raspberry lemonade- they didn't have any but out waitress said she would MAKE her a strawberry lemonade. She came back it had fresh strawberries my daughter loved it. Just that fact that she went out of her way to do that was so sweet. This is one of my favorite places to go in Yorkville. Definitely recommend it. I'm not entirely sure who the owner is but, there's a gentleman that is there all the time he makes sure he goes out of his way to check on every table to make sure they are doing well. He really makes us feel welcomed valued as customers."

Lakeview is a beautiful restaurant. Delicious food and great service! Good drinks. They have a room you can reserve for parties. The lamb was outstanding.

Beautiful restaurant! I hosted my cousin's rehearsal dinner there, and it was absolutely spectacular! The service and food were both excellent. I traveled six hours to be there, and it was well worth it!

Visited on a Saturday night for a birthday dinner. Did not make reservations, so my party of 3 waited 1hr 20min to be seated. Food was delicious. The server was very nice and accommodating. We will return!

Food is excelling although I do wish the menu was larger. Our server was friendly and prompt, they were pretty busy so it seems they had enough staff when we visited which is a rarity these days. The ambiance was nice, felt casual but definitely not cheap.

Came here for lunch today. Easter sunday! We had a reservation booked and were seated straight away. I ordered the grilled salmon and it was cooked nicely, the soup was nice and creamy. All our food came out quick even with it being quite busy. Our waitress was nice and also taught us to hit the 95 sticker on the ketchup for it come out. Over all was a good experience and will come back again, thanks for the great experience! View menu

Fantastic food and service! The tables are a little close together in some areas, but it’s not a major issue. Our waitress, Paige, was incredibly attentive and ensured we had everything we needed. The dirty dishes were also cleared away promptly. We will certainly return! 2023 Update: The quality of food, drinks, and service remains exceptional. From the host to the staff clearing tables, everyone is consistently courteous and professional during each of our visits!

I waited 25 minutes to be seated even though I had made a reservation. They placed us at a table meant for six and added an extra chair at the end for the seventh person, which left that individual with little room. We only received one menu for all seven of us. However, our server was excellent; she kept us updated and checked in on us frequently. The saganaki server was also fantastic. The food was quite good, but we ended up waiting 90 minutes for our dinner. Overall, it took over two hours from start to finish. My advice is to avoid seating guests if you can't ensure excellent service throughout the dining experience.

"How did I live in Chicagoland for so long and never know about this gem? Seems like I'm not the only using the word gem to describe this place! I was back in town visiting for a wedding and my host recommended G&S for brunch. They are only open eight hours a week and the only time we could get one of their few tables was 9 am sharp. We arrived on time and were the second table seated in a dining room that only contained eight tables. Great music, with classic rock and country played at a moderate level. Servers were all super nice and engaging. I could tell this was a place where the regulars come often and the staff knows them well. I got my OJ and my friend got her coffee. Juice tasted pretty fresh, but I admit I wish it had a little pulp. Right away we headed up to the buffet line and it was so amazing. Herb and cheese frittata, thick cut bacon, thick sausage patties, cheesy hash browns, banana bread French toast, biscuits, sausage gravy, Caprese salad, cinnamon rolls, raspberry brownies, fruit salad, almond poppyseed scones, chocolate chip cookies... Everything I tried was excellent. The bacon and sausage were so full of flavor and as I mentioned they were thick, nothing wimpy about this breakfast meat. The French toast really had that nice banana and cinnamon flavor going. Cheeses added richness to the shredded hash brown potatoes. That cinnamon roll was so flaky. I even took some the buttercream frosting on top and spooned it on the French toast bake and that only made it even more amazing. I almost felt sorry for the fruit salad of blueberries, red grapes, and honeydew! 23 dollars was a pretty solid deal, especially since it was unlimited portions. I've had a few brunch buffets, but this absolutely ranks in the top 2 or 3 I have ever had."
