Attentive and exceptional waitstaff, great food and portions for decent prices, and I have a new favorite. The crispy shrimp with lemon sauce is one I cannot recommend enough! Definitely coming back in the future!

One of the best Chinese in town! I got the mapo tofu and the dried chili chicken both were very good and best served with rice. Menu is also very large but the food seems to be maintaining its quality . Highly recommend trying if you want great Chinese food in the area.

Best place for students, family and friends. If you want to have a taste of Chinese food, this place is one of the best Asian restaurant in the twin cities. We often visit here and also had small parties. We found many dishes to be tasty and awesome. Restaurant is clean and ambiance good.

Probably the best Chinese restaurant in the city. As a Chinese, Lao Sze Chuan is definitely the place I most often go for Chinese dishes with my friends. The taste of classic dishes is really the same as in China. In the Chinese we say that we are also good at the environment. This place wouldn't disappoint you! Very recommended!

The food is fantastic, the service is excellent, and the portions are generous. The prices are a bit on the high side for what you get, but the quality is quite good. In my opinion, this is the best Chinese restaurant in the Midwest! Honestly, I’m not a fan of how American Chinese restaurants prepare their dishes, especially in this region where many tend to miss the mark. However, this place is a true gem. It’s undoubtedly the best Chinese restaurant in Illinois. The Chef Special Dry Chilly Chicken is one of their standout dishes, and their fried rice and noodles are also worth a try. If you're someone who prefers less salt, don’t hesitate to ask them to reduce it before they serve your meal.

What a nice restaurant! There are legit like 500 menu items and each one I tried tasted amazing. I often went back to try out different things and I was never disappointed. I recommend the lemon shrimp and the Beijing style eggplant, but as I said it is hard to go wrong. The service is also very good. I had a family visit to the city and our server took a group photo of us.
