"Momo’s Cafe is a cozy little restaurant specializing in Taiwanese bento and street food. Had the opportunity to speak with the owner once and they take great pride in the authenticity of their bento and the food they serve. The place is small but quite cute. It has outdoor seating as well. The server was friendly and attentive. She took the time to explain the restaurant’s specialties and shared her personal favorites. As for the food, everything we tried was really flavorful. The menu was comprehensive and truly showcased a wide range of Taiwanese comfort food, with options like bento, iron pan entrees, and Taiwanese street snacks to name a few. Momo’s cafe also serve Taiwanese shaved ice and boba tea.I particularly enjoyed the popcorn chicken and the spicy pot. The chicken was incredibly crunchy and well marinated. Fried basil added nice flavor to the dish. The spicy pot was comforting and fulfilling, accompanied by a delightful array of fresh ingredients. The portion size was generous, making it an excellent choice for sharing as well.In all, my dining experience at Momo’s Cafe was a great success. I highly recommend trying their unique dishes. The location is a bit hidden and inconvenient. The recommended way to get to the restaurant would be by car."

I ordered a ribeye steak, but it was too greasy for my taste. Now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable in my stomach.

Super cute and tasty ice shave!! It is limited time only for the cherry blossom festival. The food has been fantastic too. Love the fried calamari and crispy red pork.

I can't believe I've been in the area for as long as I have haven't stopped by at Momo's. I'm so glad I did. It was absolutely delicious I will definitely be stopping by more often. I loved the ambiance, and the service was fast friendly. I recommend this!!

This is a dependable neighborhood takeout spot. My favorite dish is the Hunan Chicken, ordered extra spicy and without mushrooms. They tend to be rather light on spice, so be sure to request the extra heat. I've been there 25 times and have always been satisfied. It's a great value, too! View menu

The atmosphere and decor were fantastic, and the service was attentive. However, the food fell a bit flat. We ordered the tonkotsu ramen and octopus balls, and they didn’t impress. On the bright side, the monster shaved ice was delightful—I’d return just for that! Overall, I'd rate the food a 3 out of 5.

I went on Mother's Day. I I used a coupon for a milk tea ice cream, but I was disappointed to receive something different from what was advertised. This experience felt like a dishonest bait-and-switch tactic, as I was offered a specific item and received something else. I cannot recommend this place, and I certainly won't be returning. The fact that they cheated me out of a small item has cost them a customer.

I visited this restaurant this past weekend.Environment/Customer Service: The restaurant was super cute and cozy. The best way to describe it is pretty in pink. Everyone was nice and the menu was easy to navigate.Food: I ordered black pepper braised pork bento and strawberry black tea while my boyfriend got the popcorn chicken bento. We both liked our food and we were given a good amount (except for the collards it was a very tiny portion but maybe some fell out and I didn’t realize it). Also, I do wish the bento box had its own lid or wrap some of the juice from the food spilled and the box that the bento was placed was soggy and began to rip. But that wouldn’t stop me from doing take out ag... View menu

Solid place to get desserts and taiwanese food! Highly recommend the shaved ice here. My friends and I came while the cherry blossom specials that were going on, the sakura shaved ice was amazing!! SERVICE: 4/5 Service here was fast and accommodating! There was plenty of seating for groups of 3 4 people and the server was super friendly and polite. Food came out within 10 minutes after ordering. Only CON my friends and I wanted to share food (family style) and we asked for plates and bowls. We were given small plastic containers as bowls. It would have been a little bit easier to eat if had actual dining ware. FOOD: 4/5 I would highly recommend going for their desserts, especially their shav...

We arrived around 3 PM on a Sunday, which turned out to be the perfect time. We sat in a cozy indoor booth, and the music created a delightful ambiance that complemented the restaurant’s beautiful decor. I ordered the pork entree, and it was outstanding. Some of the best pork I've ever had—tender, rich, and expertly seasoned, paired wonderfully with the soft and fluffy white rice. My mother chose the popcorn chicken bento box and declared it the best fried chicken she's ever tasted. I tried a piece, and it was incredibly crunchy and juicy, seasoned to perfection. The cabbage in the bento was tender with just the right amount of crunch, and the corn and sausage were delicious. My uncle trie...

"I typically always forget to write google reviews but this place deserves every word I have to say. I found this spot because the luggage storage app, bounce, sent me here to hold my bags while I toured apartments for the day. Before I left my bags, I decided to try a quiche which was so much better than expected. Growing up in my father's deli, I tend to have high standards for most food because I can usually recognize good ingredients so safe to say I was definitely pleasantly surprised with my quiche. Around mid-day I fell walking around in NoMa and severely hurt my knee. Rather than continuing my tours for the day I decided to come back to pick up my bags and potentially go to the airport to arrive early for my flight. When I got to Old City Market and Oven, they actually gave me ice for my knee and let me sit downstairs uninterrupted. While I was downstairs the cashier told me to call the number in case I needed anything so they can come down and help because they didn't want me walking up the stairs for anything stupid. To say they were sweet was understatement, the level of care I received felt like I was in one of my dad's restuarants growing up which in my opinion is not something you see these days. I decided to have a pizza while I waited because another customer said it was amazing. Even though I was skeptical due to the paper menu, they really did their big one with that pear pizza. This spot really made my day and it makes me happy establishments at this tier still exist."

"For a special occasion, make a reservation at Michelin star Reverie, a small restaurant inside a Georgetown alley. If you 're lucky, you 'll meet Poppy the Alley Cat that is taken care of by the community, including by the staff at Reverie. My wife dined at Reverie on a Thursday evening. Here 's our experience. 1) Experience: It 's a Michelin star restaurant so expect superb service. It 's clear that the chef is passionate about his craft and his passion is contagious. Every staff member from our server to the chefs who brought out our food, everyone was knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. Throughout the stay, we were given wet towels to wash our hands in between snacks. Our water glasses were kept full. If we really loved a dish, our server would point out elements or teach us tips on how to use similar flavors at home. The journey begins with savory snacks and ends with sweet ones. Since the menu changes often, a copy of your dinner 's meu is given to you to take home at the end. It 's a perfect memento, especially if you 're celebrating something special. 2) Food: Reverie 's menu changes, but whatever you 're served will be innovative, fresh, and full of flavor. It 's also a tasting menu. When we went in May 2025, the menu included 17 different bites/dishes. The meal starts and ends with three small bites. The next nine dishes mainly included seafood and one was elk. Every dish is presented on a design-forward plate and came in full color and plated perfectly. A sign of a good restaurant is perfection in every dish and there wasn 't a bad one. We thoroughly enjoyed every single one, but our favorites were the Scallop, which comes in a fun sunchoke cracker sandwich, Hiramasa with juniper and caviar, and the Carolina Gold Rice. 3) Drink: Reverie 's drink menu comes with cocktails named after neighborhoods from around the world, wine, and other options. The Golden Gai is now my wife 's favorite Old Fashioned. She ordered two. For a sweeter refreshing cocktail, get the Old San Juan. For a refreshing, but sherry-forward cocktail, I recommend the Roma Notre. The dinner begins with chilled tea for all and it is very tasty. Savor it. At the end, you 'll have an opportunity to order more tea. Each blend is unique. I recommend any of it. 4) Price: It 's $245 a person for the tasting menu and additional prices for drinks, but for a quality dinner experience, it could be more expensive. We found it to be a fair price, especially for a special occasion. 5) Space: It 's beautiful! The design is not ornate, but rather simple, making it classy. There are two unisex restrooms in the back. When you sit down, you 're offered small stools to place your phones, belongings, etc. 6) Neighborhood: Inside an alley, there 's much to explore nearby from other top restaurants, cafes, and historic homes. We usually find street parking nearby by the Georgetown Waterfront Park. Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
