Mama's Famous Pizza & Heros

We ordered the mama pizza special and the spaghetti. Pizza had plenty toppings but seemed to thin and not enough sauce. Spaghetti sauce was not good also to watery for me. Definitely not coming back.

What happened here. Went for dinner and what a surprise. Pizza is not the same. Different pepperoni and the pizza was way to doughy. Not what I expect from Mamas. The calzone was burnt and tasteless. We wonder if the location at kolb and 22nd is the same way. Either way whatever you did you've ruined it for our family. $39 for a family pepperoni, I expect that mamas quality. It's not there anymore. What happened ???????

I bought 45 dollars worth of food, a chicken parmigiana sandwich a cold hero for my daughter and fried ravioli’s.The chicken parmigiana sandwich was for me so I ate half last night when I got it and when I got home from staying over I ate the other half well attempted to anyway until I felt something hard in my mouth, it was a Fingernail yes a fingernail when I told I guess a manager no boss was there) a girl named Sam she told me that I DIDNT FIND A FINGERNAIL like I was lying about it. Staff tried to do things right. Our order was called ‘by name’ and another family at restaurant decided to pickup part of our order. Waited to see if another pizza was brought out. Later another pizza came out under a different name, asked the staff if that was part of our order? “No.” Later again I asked where the rest of our order was the staff said it was already put out. I reminded them I was at the pickup window earlier, they said “…people do that sometimes, here do you want this pizza?” After some checking the clerk said the two pizza were the same, just take this one. First time here. Wait staff hides in back took about 10 minutes before we found someone to take our order. Dining area had 3 "d "s dingy, dark, and dusty. Nobody 's cleaned in years. Food takes a long time to come out. We ordered a meatball sausage hero and 2 slices of Sicilian pizza. The hero was great. Bread was good, appropriately cooked. I love the premise of this pizza parlor because inside it reminds me of an old-school pizza joint. I had been here a few years ago and remembered the pizza to be really good, so we stopped in. The first thing I noticed was they seemed a wee bit pricey compared to some other non-chain pizza places I frequent. We paid roughly 2.50 a piece for a drink that comes in a medium (they called it large) cup, with tons of ice and no refills so that set the tone right there. We ordered mozzarella sticks, a small order of hot wings and a large Mama's special. The hubs liked the wings and the mozzarella sticks were good. The pizza was interesting. So if you like thin crust... like REAL thin, you will love...

Well the pizzas great! The customer service needs work. I was picking up a pizza the other day, was told by a young lady, on the phone, that my order was ready and to call back when I arrived so she could bring it out to me?!? Wow what service I was thinking, they prefer doing that due to the pandemic, very smart. After I told her I was already in parking lot, she hesitated and said the order was not ready like she thought and said a few minutes, I described my car and I waited a few minutes. About 5 minutes later she comes up to my window and explains to me that my pizza was going to take 30 minutes now ... 30minutes, no really, she walked away, I was stunned, I could go to Safeway, buy Eve...

I want to start off by saying that my family and I are what I consider to be regulars. My parents order our family dinner from here almost weekly, spending between $45-55 on average. The pizza, salad, and appetizers usually are great. This Saturday, though, the family pizza we ordered from the Houghton location was doughy in the center and didn't seem fully cooked. No biggie, things happen. My wife and I took it back and asked that it be cooked a little longer. The employees were understanding, the green shirted supervisor not so much.
