"The chicken and sides are all cooked fresh and to perfection. The fried mushrooms are so juicy, you have to eat the whole thing at once , but trust me, it's not a bad thing. I've had chicken from many different states including Texas, Louisiana Mississippi, Alabama and Arkansas. Hands down, the very best chicken I've ever had. Air conditioning works amazing during the summertime. Bathrooms are clean. The dining room was clean and the drink station had amazing lemonade! All of the staff are curtious and welcoming to everyone. And they serve Blue Bell ice cream for desserts. 7 classic flavors served at the perfect temperature. Whether or not you're paying through or here to buy/sell animals at the sell-barn, you want to stop here and eat. The parking lot can accommodate trucks and stock trailers"

"We recently dined at Elijas in Jasper, our first time eating at Kirbyville. Upon arrival just before the lunch rush, our server Karen was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and attentive without being overwhelming. She truly stood out. My wife ordered the grilled catfish with okra and squash salad and absolutely loved it, cleaning her plate. Her friend enjoyed the pot of red beans and rice with fried apples, finishing all of it. I opted for the veggie plate with five delicious vegetables, although I couldn't finish it all as the portions were generous. We decided to skip dessert, but couldn't resist trying a piece of the coconut cake, which was delicious. Overall, Elijas offers good homestyle food at a very reasonable price and I would highly recommend it to anyone in search of a great meal."

"My wife and I stopped here on our way through town. We each ordered the big bell breakfast. After one bite of the bacon we realized it was foul and well beyond its expiration date, we were going to tell our waitress but she never came back to our table after delivering our food, she was busy sitting down at 1 of the other 4 tables and chatting it up with what I 'm guessing was her family or friends. When I went to pay I mentioned the bacon to the lady at the counter and I was told that ya, we 've been hearing that all day . Why not warn a customer next time or pull it off the menu. Wish I could give zero stars. Not once did our server even come near our table, when I tried to get her attention we were ignored. There was only a couple tables and was not busy at all."

"Sometimes a spontaneous decision can change your life. Taking a quick stop at Dane's for a meal while driving through Kirbyville turned out to be one of those moments for me. I had never eaten there before, but I quickly placed my order and devoured my meal with the same enthusiasm as a Hemi consumes gas. I enjoyed coleslaw, fried catfish, fried shrimp, French fries, and hush puppies—certainly not on any cardiologist's list of recommendations! Everything, including the tartar sauce, tasted just as it should. It was absolutely delicious! I could have eaten a hush puppy the size of a cantaloupe if it tasted as good as the ones I had with my meal. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu. It was an exceptional experience. I will definitely make it a point to "pass through" Kirbyville again just to return here! Thank you, Dane's!"

"We visit this restaurant whenever we can. I'm absolutely in love with the pecan-crusted chicken-fried steak—it's delicious! We also really enjoy their fish and salad bar. The staff is friendly, the owner is wonderful, and overall, it's a fantastic experience every time."
