"The reason this restaurant is receiving such a poor review is because though my reservation was confirmed and the restaurant’s “open” sign was illuminated when I got there, the whole place was locked up with no sign of people inside. I tried to call to cancel my reservation but since no one was there I was unable to get through to do so. And as a result I couldn’t officially cancel my reservation on Open Table, which mean that I couldn’t make another one elsewhere. The whole thing was really troubling but I hesitate to give the restaurant a poor review since it might have been an error on the OpenTable side of things. Either way, everyone who uses this should know. I hope the problem gets addressed."

This restaurant in the local area is a great find. The cuisine is delicious and reasonably priced.

Eh could've been way better. Food was unimpressive. Drinks were great. Please could be cleaner and better organized.

It was cute, and very intimídate... but then again I went the day before Thanksgiving so I wasn’t expecting much traffic View menu

Everything was delicious but the beans didn’t taste right. They had a sour tinge to them so I asked them to take them back.

The food tasted like homemade cooking! It felt like they could have made it at home. The salsa added a great kick of flavor. I also highly recommend the clean and inviting atmosphere. The drinks were also top-notch.

An experience is worth having at the inexplicable Mancora restaurant in the heart of NYC. Whether you would like to combat a Peruvian steak during dinner or lighten up with some taste defying cocktails whilst at lunch. With every drink and every bite you become addicted to this gem of place. I thank for its existence. View menu

I was in the area and decided to visit Mancora since I had never tried Peruvian cuisine before. My wife ordered a watermelon margarita, while I opted for a traditional Peruvian drink called pisco sour. Both beverages were absolutely delicious! For our appetizer, we shared fish ceviche, which was served with a side of plantains and a tasty green spicy sauce. For our main courses, I had duck served with rice and beans, and my wife chose salmon with vegetables. This restaurant was an excellent choice!

The appetizers we ordered were supposed to be served hot, but they arrived cold from the refrigerator. We waited 45 minutes for our main course, hoping for freshly cooked food, but it was served cold and seemed to be leftover from the day before. To make up for the long wait, we were given a free dessert of chocolate mousse. Unfortunately, the mousse tasted like it had been sitting in an old refrigerator and had a strange flavor. Overall, we were disappointed with the experience and do not plan to return to this restaurant.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
