This is one of my favorite places in Austin. The food is so good! The service is excellent: and I always feel so appreciated. Mini rice pancakes are one of the best things I’ve eaten in Austin in 14 years. Vietnamese Espresso Martini is amazing.Food: 5/5

Fantastic! My wife and I went for lunch on a Tuesday, it was really chill. Food was amazing, we shared the pad Thai and the Vietnamese fried rice. Dang, who is one of the owners took care of us. Service was top notch, drinks where stiff we talked for a long while. This is my new go to Thai in Austin.Food: 5/5

This was the most bland pad Thai I have ever had in my life. I was unable to taste the sauce and definitely didn't feel any heat even though I ordered it spicy. The mango sticky rice was surprisingly good, but not even close to being good enough to make up for the lackluster pad Thai. I would be a fool to consider ever spending money on this again. PLS CHANGE how the FOOD IS PACKED FOR TAKE OUT!Ordered takeout and the food was very good! The Cajun rice it’s amazing-highly recommend. I REALLY wish they would package the takeout differently or at least line with foil! It’s in styrofoam, and then the hot food melts it! The styrofoam melted so much the sauce was leaking and leached into the food- so dangerous! Please package differently, thank you!

Located on S. Lamar, Mandala Kitchen and Bar is a great place for your this food fix! My husband and I came on a Saturday afternoon, around 5pm, and were seated immediately. There were a few larger parties at the restaurant as well. Service was quick and cordial. We ordered the pad Thai and the red curry with chicken. The chicken was over cooked and dry in my opinion. The flavors of the pad Thai and red curry was OUT OF THIS WORLD good. The red curry also has a bit of a kick. Absolutely delicious!Overall, I would dine here again, but maybe with tofu or shrimp as my protein!

THE BIG: Located in the Lamar Union Plaza shopping mall, right across the street from Alamo Drafthouse and Gibson Street Bar. Beautiful bar and plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Garage parking is available.THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here after paddleboarding and in need of some good thai food. We got the pad thai with chicken and the red curry with chicken. In both dishes the chicken was dry. However it tasted really good. Portion sizes were generous albeit the prices were higher than a normal thai restaurant.Ambiance is great, we were seated immediately and I can see the place bumping in the night hours. CAJUN FRIED EFFING RICE! OH MY GAWD! This right here. This right chere! M-A-N-D-A-L-A. I have had my fair share of food being 51 years young and maintaining this 299 lb boyish physique. But when I experienced this entree two things came to mind and palate. First. That I have been lied to by other restaurants claiming to be the best when at best they were average. Second. That I have cheated my palate and my wallet from more bang for my bite and dollar. Back to the CFR, the pic included is proof enough that this entree is so ON POINT! I feel bad for the reviewer who submitted before me (Tom) because my friend and I went to Mandala for dinner last night and it was fantastic. Hopefully he gives it another try. :)It was pretty chill for a Tuesday at 6:30pm. We sat at the bar and had no trouble with service. I highly recommend the Guava Mojito. CALL BEFORE to make sure they are still open and in business! I wanted so bad to try out Mandala 's today, but it seems that they may be shutting down. I recently moved within <1 mile, so I decided to walk there so that I could have lunch at 11 am (when their website and sign on the door say that they open) before my appointment at Finley 's at noon. When I arrived at 11 am, the door was locked. I stood there for 10 minutes, knocking on the door every 2-3 minutes. Finally, at about 11:10, a guy came out and told me that they were closed.
