This place is incredible! Hands down the best pita in LA. Service is fantastic and the owners make you feel like you’re family. I highly recommend coming here.

Mazal is absolutely delicious. We came in with a large group and both service and food were amazing. Inventive vegetarian menu. Shwarma rubbed oysters, anyone? Do yourself a favor and go eat.

A hidden treasure in Lincoln Heights. The staff was friendly, inviting, and attentive. The ambiance is intimate, trendy, and inviting. The cuisine is exceptional. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining options, as well as a spacious bar. Mazal also provides catering services and event space! I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Mazal continues to amaze. Last night, we tried the grilled pita with za'atar with turmeric tahini for the first time. The flavors go on and on, with notes of earthiness, green goodness and comfort. We also had the halva sufganiyot. Incredible! What a combo. Mazal is both traditional and inventive, homey and modern. I wish them continued good fortune.

I had another fantastic dining experience at Mazal! The food is inventive and tasty, the service is attentive and professional, and the ambiance is lively and enjoyable. Some of my top picks include the labneh with fried olives and crispy onions, the hamin, and any vegetable dish on the menu. The pita bread and hummus are also delicious. Food was tasty, healthy and perfect for family style dining. Outdoor seating is very festive and charming. Service was spotty. Servers were kind and helpful IF you could get them to your table (this was the challenge even on a quiet, slow service night). Our only major complaint would be that we brought in a pie for a friend's birthday and they charged us a cake cutting fee PER guest which is pretty outrageous (it should never be per guest). Overall I would recommend as a place for a casual, low key gathering.

To be honest, the service at this restaurant was awful. After being seated by the hostess, we were not given menus and no waiter or waitress came to our table. We had to track down the hostess to ask for menus, but still no waiter showed up. It wasn't until much later that we were finally able to flag down a waitress, but she rarely checked on us or refilled our drinks. The chef in the open kitchen eventually noticed our situation and stepped in to help. It was obvious that our waitress and others were more interested in chatting in the corner than attending to their tables. Additionally, the food was overpriced. $20 for a huge plate of brussel sprouts billed as a main dish seemed ridiculous...

I have been looking for a place on my way to a ball game at dodgers stadium, easy off the 110 fwy made a wrong turn and voila , i find this place recently opened . a Mediterranean vegetarian cousin . wow . Definitely NOT another falafel stand, the place has a unique vibe with string lighting and soft music in the back patio like a middle eastern alley . We sat outside on ohhh what a nice real hole in the wall .sandwiched between a marijuana joint and a factory the fire department yard.
