I had one of the friendliest experiences at a McDonald's drive-thru in quite some time. I visited during the early evening on December 15, 2020. The food tasted freshly made, hot, and delicious. I was truly impressed with both the service and the quality of the food at this location.

If you're on the road and thinking of stopping at this location, keep driving. Luckily for your McDonald's is everywhere. Keep going to a Duluth location (Cloquet if you're going south). This (Proctor) McDonald's is the most expensive one around. Even back when all McDonald's actually had a mcdoubles and mcchickens for a buck, Proctor's charged more! A couple weeks ago we got twist cones at another location in Duluth and they were like .50c Last night we (3 of us) stopped for twist cones thinking they'd be cheap because, hey, they're ice cream cones. My husband went to McDonald's for his lunch break around 11 a.m. He used the drive-thru to place an order that he expected to be fresh. This is one of the perks that McDonald's promotes. However, when he reached the window, the food was not fresh at all. The employee explained that they had just started serving the lunch menu, so the food was fresh. But here’s the thing: lunch starts at 10:30 a.m., which means they likely began preparing the food even earlier. This suggests that the food could have been cooked thirty minutes before he even placed his order.
