"Food: As far as options go, they seem a little light and there wasn 't anything that stood out to me, like something that you can ONLY get from this place. Still, the sampler is good, mac 'n 'cheese is the bomb, brisket was good and tender, jalapeño sausage was excellent, everything was good. No collared greens though?Service: No complaints. The kid behind the counter was young looking and I asked what was good, he just shrugged. Man, I just work here. ??? Well, time to just close my eyes and point I guess! Ha!Atmosphere: I will say that although I consider myself to be patriotic, I do agree with some of the other comments that this place goes a little overboard on supporting the troops. Like, I get it... and I read their website too, it 's cool they give back to the military service functions, but as what point does it feel like they are using that for their benefit? At some point I almost feel like it is boasting that they are so pro-military. Maybe that 's just me, but I prefer a more silent approach. If the food is good, then that alone should speak for itself.Price: It 's not too expensive, 20-25$ for a good plate of BBQ. I am always willing to pay the price if the food lives up to the hype. I think overall, the price is just right for what you get.Overall: I was just a little put-off by the AMOUNT of memorabilia that is strewn about. Maybe that 's just me, but in my head I was thinking that the military was what defined this place, not the food. But the rest of the place is solid and now I know a great BBQ place if I am ever back in the area."

I can only say that this food was exactly what I needed, especially being so far from the South. The brisket was tender and juicy, the sausage had a great kick to it, and the mac and cheese was absolutely incredible! I will definitely be eating here every time I visit Mentor! As for the service, I have no complaints. The young man at the counter seemed inexperienced when I asked for recommendations; he just shrugged and said, "I just work here." I guess it was a case of randomly choosing something! Regarding the atmosphere, I consider myself patriotic, but I agree with some other reviews that the emphasis on supporting the troops feels a bit overdone. While I appreciate their commitment to giving back to military service members, it sometimes seems like they use this support for their own benefit. It almost feels like boasting about being pro-military. Personally, I prefer a more understated approach—if the food is good, that should be the main focus. In terms...

"This place should have a line out the door to eat here. Honestly, some of the best food (Thai or otherwise) I have had (speaking as a 300 pound man). It would not surprise me if, one day, it is considered easier to escape from Alcatraz back in the day than to get an open table here.I started with the spring rolls which were fresh and piping hot. The insides were perfectly peppered and the chili sauce served to complement well. For my main dish, I had the crispy chicken fried rice... where to start with this one???The chicken itself was juicy, cut-with-a-spoon-tender, salted perfectly, and with a nice, crisp breading that is fried to perfection. If Colonel Sanders were alive today, you would be getting KFC served a la Thai 999 Express. Now, for the rice itself. I ordered a level 4, and was warned it might be a bit much. I did get a little bead or two of sweat, but it wasn't overpowering. Mind you, I enjoy spicy foods and have built a tolerance. Your mileage may vary. As far as the taste quality of the rice, this is where Thai 999 Express earned its wings with me. I love fried rice, and I (perhaps unfairly) judge an Asian restaurant's quality by their fried rice (let's be honest, if a restaurant can't make good fried rice, it doesn't bode well for the rest of the menu). Thai 999 Express has, hands down, the absolite best fried rice I have ever had.If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and eat here. You're welcome."
