"However, I had to deduct a star for the overall operation of the restaurant. Despite signs indicating that orders should be placed at the counter, I found that I had to order online or use a kiosk, which was cumbersome and required multiple steps to navigate. The kiosk was a paper setup and could not print receipts, which was inconvenient. Additionally, I noticed that the tables and chairs were rather dirty. While there were signs encouraging customers to clean up after themselves—something I was willing to do—eating a messy soup inevitably resulted in splatters everywhere, no matter how careful I tried to be. I managed with a few paper napkins, but the table was left stained from my meal and from previous diners. Another disappointment was the excessive use of disposable plastics. The trash bins were overflowing with plastic cutlery and containers, which I found unusual. Many other Korean fast-food establishments I’ve visited either use reusable metal utensils and bowls or modern compostable containers with sustainable wooden cutlery—something I would gladly pay a little extra for. Lastly, I was surprised to find that they don’t offer tea. It wasn’t listed on their online menu, and when I inquired at the counter, I learned they didn’t have any available. In summary, the food was excellent, but despite being a fast-casual spot catering to a student clientele, I was disappointed by the overall lack of cleanliness and the excessive plastic use."

Homestyle Korean food, with friendly mom and pop service. Good sized portions and quality ingredients. Definitely comfort food! If doing walk-in, order at the kiosk.Food: 5/5

Been here a few times. We’ve had bibimbap, japchae, and kimchi tofu stew so far. Everything’s good. The flavor is authentic but yet not too salty. I love that the bibimbap comes with a lot of veggies and healthy rice.

I had the Vegan Bibimbap and it was absolutely amazing. I can’t stop thinking about it! The portion size was generous, and the price was very reasonable. The staff were incredibly friendly, too! The atmosphere is great and really cozy. As a student at SMC, I’ll definitely be returning! View menu

Without a doubt, this is one of the best places I’ve ever been to! The ingredients are top-notch, the combinations are creative, and the range of exotic flavors is fantastic. On top of that, the positive energy and exceptional customer service truly stand out! They also offer healthy alternatives, which is a bonus. Mom Bop, you've got me completely hooked!

I've been tricked twice by yelp in the last two years by going on a weekend only to see the closed sign. Posted hours are Monday through Friday only.Really unfortunate because the food actually looks good. I wonder if this place is related to its predecessor, also a Korean place which was pretty legit and a gem for the west side. If it is related to the predecessor, I would give it a five, three stars right now, due to the good reviews and parking lot.

If you 're looking for fast food that tastes like a homemade meal, then Mom Bop is the place for you. They have large portions, cheap prices, and a variety of food to choose from. The food itself has a very comfort food type feel so I guess that matches the name of the store. It is located right across the street from Santa Monica College and you can just walk over here during lunch or any break. I suggest walking here because the parking lot for this plaza is way too tiny. There 's also a boba shop near by so that 's worth a visit after eating here. View menu

Food was super tasty and fresh with large portions. I ate about half of it and ate the leftovers for dinner.Really satisfying meals. The tteokbokki was just a little spicy but not a lot. Little spice but a lot of tasty. Japchae was awesome too and flavorful. Kiosk they have is cool and the service was fine. I used the kiosk so I didn't interact much with the woman at the counter but she smiled when she handed me my food. So still gave a friendly vibe when we did interact. Small place and very causal. Clean space and the seating areas have lil walls so it feels like you have a lil bit of privacy but not much lol. Had some k-pop groups performing on the TV in KBS world too. Did know any of the...

I was in the neighborhood of Santa Monica College and needed a bite to eat. This Korean restaurant was in walking distance, and it's always good to walk. Upon entering, there are two options you can order food: (1) in person and (2) through a digital kiosk. This is an ingenious investment as it allows people with social anxiety to order food seamlessly. I chose this option because it showed me the menu on the screen so I could reference it quite easily. I guess it also gives the restaurant workers time to prepare the orders.I ordered spicy pork bibimbap and kimmari, the seaweed rolls. I sat down and the restaurant is fairly casual. College students seem to frequent this spot, so I see a lot...
