"This review is long overdue. I've been a fan of Montesacro for a while. Recently took my parents there for a birthday dinner. Everyone was blown away by the food — specifically the Casal Bertone Pinsa, arctic char, bistecca and tiramisu. My dad said it was the best tiramisu he's ever had and I agree. Service was attentive and they also accommodate food allergies. My daughter was able to get gluten-free pasta prepared the way she likes. The atmosphere is also great — good for romantic dinners or celebrations and very lively (maybe a little too loud for folks sensitive to noise, but hey, it was Friday night). Overall, 5 stars. Highly recommend!"

This restaurant never disappoints. Bufalotta pinsa is delicious, and the steak is great also. My go-to desert is tiramisu and a cup of cappuccino. Ambiace is great, light music, nice decoration and great staff. View menu

Intimate, moody with excellent food, leaning more towards true European experience than an American interpretation of Italian food. Rich in depth of flavor, can be loud when busy but worth it. Locals and still not tourist tainted

Exquisite food. The flavors were incredible. We honestly had no clue what to order and the waiter was very helpful with suggestions. Everything had amazing flavor from the salad to the bread, main dishes and of course the tiramisu! Wonderful experience for our quick trip in New York.

"When we called to reserve a table, no one informed us that there was a dining time limit of 1.5 hours. My friend wanted to invite more people to join us for dinner, but I was unsure if everyone would agree to the minimum charge of $60, including taxes and tips. I confirmed a reservation for 7 people during my second call, but ultimately, only 6 of us showed up. The table we were given was quite small, making it uncomfortable for six people, especially with the mandatory minimum spending of $60, as well as a 20% tip. For just two people, the minimum tip is 18%. I was confused about the dining time limit—was it two hours or 1.5? The party area was limited to just the backyard for additional seating. I was with friends who didn’t know the group well, and we arrived early at 3 PM, but we couldn’t wait until 6:30 PM. That’s why we ended up sitting at a separate table for two. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t seem to care and couldn’t arrange for us to be seated closer together. We had no choice in the matter. To make matters worse, the female waiter had a poor attitude. It felt like we were dining in a sidewalk market. She questioned another girl who served me ponzu sauce, apparently because I looked impatient when I saw her face. Her attitude only worsened after that. It seems like they need to train their employees better, as they seem unaware of how to provide good service. As for the food, it was just okay, typical of basic Japanese cuisine. There were too many restrictions! Customers are forced to adhere to the restaurant’s rules and limitations. I cannot recommend this place unless someone is specifically looking for a fast-food experience. In short, I don’t think I’ll be returning next time."
