"We came in around 9pm Friday night to find the place not very busy-there were many open tables available. We stood at the entrance for 5-7 minutes while we watched a server interact with diners at a table also located at the entrance. We weren’t sure whether to seat ourselves or not, so we waited still longer. The server acknowledged us, the hostess greeted us and she tried to seat us right in front of the men’s restroom. I asked if she would seat us elsewhere, I didn’t want that spot. She began telling me who had how many tables and all the reasons why we had to sit there and no place else was available (except for 1/2 the restaurant). She then walked away. My sweetie decided differently; we got up to leave but on the way out, he asked another server if we could sit in her area. She was happy to have us. We chatted with this lovely young woman who had just started working there, she was very sweet. We enjoyed a nice meal together and we’ll probably come back again."

Food was decent, service was OK. We had a party of 15 so will give them some grace for the speed of the service, but having no silverware, not ever bringing the water, and waiting till we were almost done eating to bring the second drink was fairly annoying.

We arrived and wanted to sit outside. The tables were a bit wobbly and paint was peeling. Some nice table covers would help. Went inside instead and had a server ready to take out order. She was very professional and quick. The food was great, no mess ups. Overall all good dining experience.

I've been on the hunt for a great Mexican restaurant since I left California nearly three years ago. It took a while, but I finally found a gem that truly offers authentic cuisine. The sopes here are some of the best I've ever had, and the California-style fries topped with carne asada are simply outstanding. View menu

Took a bit before a server came to take our order.. The food came out subpar, It either had no salt or too salty.Customer service sucked very bad! As if that is not enough, when it was time to pay, the waitress brought the receipt alright but left the card behind. One thing I know for sure, I ain't coming back.

This was our first visit, and we absolutely loved it! We were impressed by the experience. Although we were hoping to find enchiladas on the menu, my husband and I opted for a carne asada burrito, a chicken soft corn taco (which I didn’t get a photo of), and a barbacoa sopa. Everything was delicious! We also enjoyed the fantastic homemade cookies and the tasty green sauce. The young men who served us were very friendly, and the food was excellent!

They took so long to bring out our food. We were served chips from another table, 3 full grown adults given one bowl of cold Salsa chips from one table over. Smh. There was another table who came in as 2 full grown adults and a baby, and even they had 2 hot chips sent their way. The dinning experience was so bad, they forgot to bring back my debit card after i had finished paying for our meal. I had brought my dad over for his birthday and this experience was truly horrible. I don't give bad reviews, even the bare minimum service makes me smile. But this was just not good in any way. I hope they change and treat everyone equally. Also, their serving sizes are small. My family is really picky and appreciated well. This is a WOW moment, I ordered six taco salads for my family three of them being teens each of them loved there were no complaints only compliments of food. I asked you to give me her honest opinion and you know that teenagers do it. The presentation was great, the quality was excellent that they were filled when they came through. I would like to thank these young people who have worked in Maria's Mexican restaurant today, they have done an excellent job and they impressed my family with the food that my family is very critical. I recommend this place to everyone. I give this food and their sauces six stars so keep the good work thanks Lenora

The Carne Asada Taco is the best steak taco I've ever had—it's a must-try! My wife ordered the Pastor Taco and ended up taking leftovers home, which is quite rare for her. I highly recommend both the steak and pork tacos. We also tried the California Style Fries, which surprisingly evoked memories of the food I grew up on. I was amazed at how much they reminded me of home. The beans were a bit below average, and the rice was just average, but that's not a deal-breaker. The horchata, on the other hand, was fantastic! I recently had a poor experience with horchata at another restaurant, so this was a nice surprise. The customer service was exceptional, and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire exp...

"When you first enter this Japanese sushi restaurant, you’re welcomed with "irasshaimase," which means "please come in." If you're unsure of what to order, Chef James and his talented team are eager to recommend something delicious. Just tell them your preferences, and they'll guide you to the best options. Today, I tried the ono sushi with black pepper, creamy ono sushi, and the rock 'n' roll sushi. The rock 'n' roll sushi features a delightful mix of tuna, salmon, snapper, and avocado, all wrapped in cucumber. It was incredibly fresh, light, and refreshing, showcasing high-quality ingredients. We ended our meal with a flan and a bite of lemon to enhance the silky flavor. I didn’t take many pictures, but I assure you, I ordered plenty! The quality and freshness of the food are excellent for the price. When I bring my family, I have a little one who isn't a sushi fan and opts for fried chicken. Another child loves California rolls, making ordering a breeze! Meanwhile, my partner and I savor all kinds of delicious sushi and sushi-fusion dishes. There's truly something for everyone. On our last visit to the bar, we met a chef who frequents this place because it’s his favorite, and his friend brings him here weekly. They introduced us to many other mouthwatering items on the menu. So, if you’re looking for a tasty sushi spot that serves fresh and creative dishes, head to South Denton and support this local business. The restaurant has new owners now—Chef James and his family—who took over recently. When you go, find a spot at a table, the bar, or even a stand. Enjoy the lively atmosphere, and don’t hesitate to ask for their recommendations. One last tip: when you finish your meal, remember to practice saying "gochisosama deshita" to express your gratitude for the meal!"
