"The Mister and I came here in a mood. Let me tell you first that you can't park right in front of your business on the street as this isn't a parking zone, but we'll save a few people who do exactly that. There is a garage on the back where we park and it is simply breezy. The atmosphere is really nice inside, so I felt kind of bad that I did not have any effort in dressing the part and instead came in some works shorts and a tanktop. But they didn't care. We ordered the Piola meatballs that are a meal in themselves. We ordered the diavolo for the pizza. What I thought was strange that they don't have paprika, it's more like salami, but it tasted great! The crust was thin and the pizza was very delicious. You also have a full bar and we ordered drinks. It was a great meal I'm sure we're going to take part again!"

Great place! I've walked by this restaurant numerous times but never took the time to stop in. I finally tried the lasagna, and it was excellent. I’ll definitely make a point to visit again the next time I’m in the area.

Lucas was incredibly nice and attentive. We came here to kick off my birthday weekend with my husband. I had a blue drink, while my husband enjoyed a Jack and Coke. We also ordered an appetizer to start the evening, and the garlic knots were absolutely delicious!

Always a wonderful experience. Have not run into a bad dish yet and constantly get amazing service from Ana, Michele, and the other staff. The housemate gnocchi is a must try! If you're on the fence because you don't see pepperoni, the Italian salami they use instead is (imo) superior and delicious. View menu

Although delicious the lasagna serving was small, expensive and came with nothing else (like salad, veggie or bread). The place was clean but grungy looking. The kitchen staff were shouting at each other and you could hear other noises from the kitchenlike blenders. We were seated close to the kitchen. Acoustics left a lot to be desired. Our waiter was nice as were otherstaff. We probably won't go back.

This place is so underrated. I’ve been here twice now and been very impressed after both visits. I’ve tried the meat lovers (picture included and Pompeii pizzas and they’re both wonderful. Try the garlic knots too! Fast and friendly service is a guarantee here and they’re generous with portions for food and drinks ; For parking, there’s a huge garage right next to this place that is free. Highly recommend! My family thoroughly enjoys the unique cuisine at Piola, which beautifully blends Italian and Brazilian flavors in their delicious pizza offerings. The Italian dishes are truly delightful. The dining room and terrace at Piola are vibrant and well-kept. Piola's bar is a fantastic spot to connect with locals. If you haven't been, you should definitely go! If you have, it's time to return. Piola exemplifies what makes Houston’s restaurant scene one of the finest in America.

Piola consistently delivers on well priced, tasty Italian food. I've had their pizzas on multiple occasions and they were very good. On this night, I had their pasta and it was one of the best pastas that I've had in Houston. Eggplant parmesan is a go to for me at an Italian restaurant and this was very well prepared. There are enough options here for a vegetarian to find something good to eat. The staff is efficient, friendly and very helpful. They're happy to adjust things and even do something that's off menu. On the night that I was there with two friends, it seemed like there was one waitress only but she did a spectacular job of ensuring that we were well taken care of. I will continue...

"Food good. Location good. Service good. BUT, the hidden charges REALLY ruined an otherwise nice experience. Example: HH menu lists Martinis as a $3 upcharge to the $7 base charge. Fair enough. Bombay is a listed alcohol; requested. When the bill was returned I was charged for a Bombay Sapphire which is not on the HH list. Charge? $11 $3. I asked for Bombay, not Bombay Sapphire. Waiter: Oh, let me look into that. AND, by the way Blue Cheese olives? Extra $1. REALLY? I 've NEVER paid extra for BC olives ANYWHERE. AND the confusing menus that a dish as including an extra sauce, [and I don 't recall the exact language but it made it seem that an additional items could be selected as well. Oops, there goes an extra $10.95. AND, the waiter recommending a twice-baked potato. Bah, boom, another $5.95. [which in fairness is disclosed on the menu in a different location, but waiter made it sound as if it was a no-charge option on the surf and turf. AND the split plate charge which I don 't think was disclosed on the menu. Ding, ding, extra $3.00. Was this a waiter, who was overly up-selling or restaurant deception? Don 't know. As I said, the food WAS good. AND, the ambience [at least in the bar area, stay away of the hotel-ballroom-like main dining area was nice. Just beware the nickel and dime charges that the waiter won 't be disclosing to you."
