"The food is excellent, but as mentioned in another review, their packaging could be improved. The sauce from one of the dishes spilled all over the containers, the bag, and even my countertop when I opened the bag—it was quite a mess. They use foam containers that tend to open easily, which might be fine for pick-up orders or sandwiches, but when it comes to saucy dishes and delivery by a driver, spills are inevitable. Additionally, a paper bag would be better for stacking the containers. This is a common practice among most restaurants that deliver through Grubhub and similar services."

The food was delicious, but one of the containers leaked and spilled all over the bag.

Legit Peruvian food almost as good as my Mother in law's home cooked . The lomo and tallarines verde are my favorite. The anticuchos are very good.

The ceviche here is absolutely fantastic! If you're on the hunt for delicious ceviche, this is the place to be – you won't regret it. As for kid-friendliness, the server was very attentive and incredibly nice. View menu

This is our go to. Always delicious!! Love the stuffed avocado and the Bistec encebollitas (onions steak) so so good. The empanadas are excellent too! Their green sauce is so yummy. Too many great items to list!

Too expensive and little portion. The flavor is like cheap version of peruvian food. The jalea is over fried and the onion side is like regular salad with lemon and salt. Not excited for come back and spend money for a regular food. The waitress is very rude and uneducated about the service.

We love this place and order from them at least twice a month for delivery. I wish they had a better system for packaging the to-go food and a simple Check List System. It's very common for an item to be missing. Too common. But we love the food and continue to order. We always get a refund via Grubhub on the missing item. Just seems like a really easy fix. Still haven't gone to eat in house. Will for sure do. Have pickup up and it's a casual vibe and usually busy. View menu

Terrible service. When we got there, we were seated by our waiter and brought water. After sitting there for a half hour waiting for the waiter to return, we flagged down someone else and told them we were ready to order. She told us she wasn’t our waiter and that she would go tell him we were ready. We watched her walk to the back, where all of the other waiters and waitresses were standing laughing and goofing off, including our own waiter. She never told him we were ready and after another 20 minutes we left.

My husband and I went for dinner on a Saturday night. They had a DJ (there's a dance floor). The music was too loud to even have a conversation. Got the ceviche to start and a steak as an entree. It wasn't good. So plain. The only thing I thought was okay was the sauce they bring you with the bread. That helped the steak enough where I was able to eat some of it, but after I went to the bathroom and saw a cockroach, I completely lost my appetite so we just left. So expensive too for such a poor experience. Don't recommend.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
