We sat in the reception tent area with a dance floor. Was expecting a bridal party to walk in. Prices way to high for that atmosphere. Paid the same money at Bleu and atmosphere was intimate and worth the money.

The first reason to head to the Popponsset Inn is for oceanside dining, but it is not the only reason. The food is always excellent, as is the service. We have thoroughly enjoyed all our dinners at the Popponsset Inn.

Shrimp scampi was too rich. Chicken piccata sauce was too creamy and rich. The only way to get simply prepared seafood or meat was to add protein to a salad. It seems that the wines were given more attention than the food. View menu

The wine menu is limited, but it offers some nice selections. The cocktail menu is also brief, but I was pleasantly surprised by the rum runner, especially since I usually don't enjoy sweet drinks. Overall, it was a great experience!
