"Haskell's seems to focus more on drinks (particularly wine) than on food, and while the food menu is generic, it’s adequate for a bar that serves food—let’s not forget, this isn't a James Beard award-winning restaurant. It’s somewhat amusing to note that the outdoor seating is positioned right alongside the sidewalk, which makes it feel like diners are on display, almost reminiscent of a medieval street scene. However, Haskell's is unique in Excelsior for its low-key vibe, reminiscent of a small Minnesota resort town. I'd rate it a 4 out of 5, primarily due to some inconsistent service and the overall atmosphere (be prepared for some cigarette smoke if you choose to sit outside)."

Went for Lunch with My Favorite Aunt. Kind of spendy but the Grilled Cheese with tomato was amazing and it is in Excelsior after all. Wait staff was super nice, prompt and efficient! Clearing the table and making sure our drinks were full- this is a lost art at some restaurants but these guys nailed it! Thank you for a nice afternoon!

Look! You wanna go people watch, this is your place to be! This is a first come, first serve, seat yourself kind of place. The way they have the outside setup, is like a hightop bar that wraps the corner of the street. So, as people walk and drive by, or,people coming off the lake cruises, you can watch it all go down. So, send somebody to save a spot, grab some food and drink, orlike me, go nextdoor to the winner shop and buy a bottle and have them cork out for you for $5 and watch all the magic happen!!! If you're looking for a great spot for people-watching, this is the place for you! It's a top-notch venue with excellent service, and the seating is self-service. The exterior resembles a high-top bar that wraps around the corner, offering a perfect vantage point to see the flow of traffic and visitors from nearby cruise ships. I recommend sending someone to claim a spot while you grab some food and drinks. Alternatively, like I did, you can pop next door to the local shop, buy a bottle for $5, have it corked, and settle in to enjoy the lively atmosphere!

Phenomenal! The service was great! The food was AMAZING! We called ahead and made a reservation. Outdoor and indoor dining areas are available now. We were on the side of the building, outdoor seating, it wasn't too chilly due to the building blocking the wind off the lake. Definitely call ahead and make reservations. They are very busy. The parking is paid parking on the street. The food is very reasonable and large portions. Very fresh and delicious! You can tell the cooks were happy when creating their masterpieces! The atmosphere and energy is extraordinarily friendly. Very inviting, what an exiting time to get to eat out and enjoy friends and family!
